Despite its proximity to cosmopolitan Xativa, possibly the nicest town in Valencia, with it's historical monuments like Castle and Old town, the location offers tranquillity and the opportunity to relax.
A 30 minutes drive will take you to the lovely beaches of Gandia, Cullera and Oliva with their busy promenades and white sandy blue flagged beaches.
This tasteful decorated villa consists of 2 double bedrooms, further a bedroom where 2 children or one adult can sleep, lounge /dining room with log burner, full bathroom, well equipped kitchen, conservatory with stunning views and a superb private terrace , ideal for al fresco dining etc..
Special features of the property are the large private swimming pool with ample sun-loungers and several terraces/barbecue areas within the the beautiful Mediterranean garden.

Villa Duncan was refurbished in 2006 and is new the to rental market, so bright and clean. The garden and outside terraces are delightful with some unusual plants. The views are breathtaking and the pool and ideal place to cool off. The management team of villa Duncan lives less then 1 mile away from the property and speaks English, Spanish and other languages. Available to offer advice if needed and give recommendations.
The conservatory and the lounge offering more sleeping possibilities on bed-sofas.
Smoking is not welcomed inside the house, but outside on the terrace areas no problem.

Facilities are available for BBQs and paella parties on the private terraces. The pool is extremly well maintained with ample sun-loungers.

With the recent availability of cheap flights to Valencia and Alicante, we do not restrict our guests to fixed rental periods. The minimum rental period is usually from 5 nights.
There are no extra charges for linen or initial / final cleaning.
Good language schools in both Xativa and Valencia.
Conditions
Reservations are accepted on a 25% non returnable booking with the balance payable 8 weeks before arrival.
A Cash Deposit of €300 is payable on arrival.
Deposit refunded within 1 week of departure, less cost of any damage or breakages.

More than 8 weeks prior to arrival - no charge
4-8 weeks prior to arrival - 50% of total rental rate
2-4 weeks prior to arrival - 75% of total rental rate
Less than 2 weeks prior to arrival - 100% of total rental rate.

Xativa / Genoves area:
Genoves is a great place to sample to real Spain, and a great centre for exploring both the relatively unknown and quiet Inland , the coast with the beautiful white beaches, or the City of Valencia which claims to be Spain's liveliest.
Genoves is a typical small Spanish village, with a community feel and an excellent rage of local services. Every Wednesday morning a superb food market is held in the streets of Genoves.
Genoves enjoys an exceptional sunny and warm clima, the winters are incredible mild and the rest of the year it's absolutely glorious.
Around Xativa and Genoves are miles and miles of Orange and Olive groves, an endless green....
Our villa is a 10 minutes walk from the village of Genoves and a 5 minute drive from the town of Xativa.
Xativa is a vibrant historical market town is without any doubt one of the nicest in the Valencian area. Xativa is a very friendly and welcoming town, visitors feel at home here immediately.
You will find in the old town of Xativa beautiful squares and narrow streets, churches and the striking Castle, as well as great cafes,bars and restaurants. The Castle domains the town and Hannibal watered his elephants here. There are great museums, a modern theater and concert hall. Xativa has an ample cultural program, further details you will receive from the local tourist information office.
Shopping in Xativa is pure fun: in the pedestrian streets you will find many traditional, family run shops selling everything. The new shopping centrer just outside of town has many new shops, restaurants and multi screen cinemas.
The countryside offers some great walking, hiking, rock climbing and mountain biking.
Beaches: Gandia is the closest beach to our villa, reachable within 35 minutes by car. Gandia offers a port, harbour and golden sandy beaches. 10 minutes away from Gandia is Oliva, with beautiful white sandy beaches, an old town with traditional whitewashed town houses and its famous golf course.
And only 45 minutes away from our villa is Valencia-City, the third biggest in Spain with lots of places to visit and with an unbeatable night life.
The Xativa area
March: Fallas - an absolutely crazy, but traditional spectacle . The burning of up to 30 metre tall sculptures in the roads of the town.
March/April: Easter: a very Spanish happening. The Easter processions are a must to be seen.
August: Xativa festival with concerts, carnival attractions, street markets, bullfights, daily fireworks and plenty more.
August : Valencia City: Grand Prix, Formula 1
October : Motorbike GP in Valencia

Budget airlines: Easy Jet, Ryanair, Jet2.Com, Vueling, BMIBaby all fly to Valencia airport- 45 minutes drive away. Alternative airports include Alicante ( 1:20 hours) and Murcia (2:00 hours).
Driving: you can hire a car at all airports.
Non-driving: Take a taxi ( apporx 18 €) or the airport bus from Valencia airport to the trainsatation Valencia Nord. From there are trains every 30 minutes to Xativa ( 3,15€). Look for trains going to either Moixent or Alcudia de Crespins.
The villa is less than 10 mins drive/taxi from Xativa Station.

Annette was brilliant. The area is inland and not ideal if you love the beach. Car needed. However, the villa and pool were as described, the area is very interesting and we were there at fiesta time which was an added bonus! Unspoilt Spain. The whole family enjoyed the space outdoors and especially the pool area. Great holiday. Will be back... |

Really great villa with excellent terraces and swimming pool. Annette the contact was also very nice and helpful with everything we needed. We also shopped around at the time and this was by far the best price. |
