Xaghra is the place where one can find the Ggantija temples (the oldest free standing temples in the world), Calypso's Cave (where legend has it that Ulysses was captivated by the lure of Calypso), the magnificent Basilica and the golden bays of Ramla and Ghajn Barrani amongst others. Restaurants supermarkets and all other amenities are just a 10 minutes' walk away.

Further details indoors: The spacious kitchen/dining area is fully equipped with everyday appliances including microwave oven and overlooks the pool whilst the sitting room has comfortable sofas and a 29’’ flat screen TV set with cable channels. Five bedrooms, two of which have an en-suite shower and balcony or sun terrace, can sleep up to 10 persons in cosy comfort. There is an extra, large bathroom on the 1st floor and another at ground floor level. The farmhouse is also equipped with a washing machine.

The villa was the highlight of our stay on such a fantastic island. Characterful and spotlessly clean: We very much enjoyed our week’s break at Ta’ Dratta. The house is well equipped with a beautiful pool and terraced area with BBQ and excellent facilities. We were warmly welcomed by Ivan and his wife who couldn’t have been more helpful. There was an excellent welcome pack on our arrival, particularly appreciated as we arrived on a Sunday when all shops are closed (although village restaurants nearby are open). Larger parties should be aware that one of the bedrooms is accessed via a very steep spiral staircase – not for the less mobile but great for the kids, and the views from the rooftop terrace are stunning ! Lots to see and do, and nearby Ramla beach is a superb setting but gets very busy ! Wish we had longer to explore not only Gozo, but Malta as well ! Suitable for all…… Sue Lawson - West Yorkshire
We really enjoyed our stay at Ta' Dratta. It is a beautiful old restored house which has been tastefully renovated. It is spacious and comfortable. The pool was great as the weather got hotter. Being in the village felt like you were part of Gozitan life and the people were so friendly, it was only a short easy stroll for a coffee at the friendly bars or a meal at the local restaurants. We found Aztec the best one. The villa was very clean and Stella did a great job cleaning it half way through the holiday. Ivan and his wife made us very welcome and gave us some good ideas of how to spend our time. Ramla beach is lovely but bargain for the sunbeds!. The blue Lagoon is very crowded go later in the day when the large boats start to leave, otherwise it will be a shock after the pace of life on Gozo. Karen Greening - Coventry
Dear Mr Attard, Thank you for all your help during our holiday. We really enjoyed the holiday and thought the farmhouse was delightful. It was extremely spacious and certainly big enough for two families. All the bedrooms were lovely especially the master bedroom with its balcony and lovely views of the sea. The furniture in all the rooms was lovely and the kitchen very well equipped. The courtyard with the pool was completely private. The pool was of moderate size and certainly adequate for our needs. The outside furniture was good, especially the very large sun shade that went over the table; we ate nearly all our meals outside including two BBQ’s. It was wonderful to have so many clean towels. All the bathrooms were lovely and there was sufficient hot water from the solar panels. The maid was very helpful and it was nice to have fresh sheets for the second week. We liked the position of the Farmhouse. The village had a lovely square and we enjoyed the windmill and the other sites in the village. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring all over Gozo. We loved the day on Comino swimming in the Blue Lagoon. We had two excellent day trips to Malta (one day to Mdina and the second to Valletta). One of the highlights for me though was snorkelling at the blue hole and seeing the Azure window. Overall we had a wonderful holiday. Thank you again for your help, David Lacy - UK
