This lovely new farmhouse is just 5 minutes walking distance from the centre of the tranquil Village of Xaghra where all amenties are found. Tal-Ahwa (Brothers in Maltese) farmhouse sleeps 6 people comfortably but can accommodate up to 8 persons within 3 independent bedrooms.
Upon entering this house, guests are welcomed in the open sunny courtyard where a good sized private pool and sun deck are found leading to an external staircase to a 1st floor sun terrace where there is outdoor furniture and BBQ.
This farmhouse is finished to high standard and consists of two storeys having two bedrooms on the first floor of which one is a Master Bedroom and another twin bedroom both with en-suite shower, toilet and leading to two separate terraces overlooking the private pool and enjoying sea and country views. On the ground floor there is an entrance hall, fully equipped kitchen for self catering with a dining table for 8 people, spacious living room with woodstove and a third twin bedroom in front of the main bathroom with hydro bath - all of which newly furnished with that rustic touch. Ceiling fans and insect screens are placed in all rooms.

The Island of Gozo region
A completely set back in time island, Gozo is an ideal place for a quiet holiday and offers ample of activities such as walking, sightseeing, wine tasting, sunbathing, swimming, snorkelling, diving into the deep blue clear seas. From its many flat topped hills the visitor looks down at the fertile valleys and folklore villages. The beauty of the unspoilt life goes on in this essentially farming and fishing island which is enchanting. As regards its history, Gozo follows same pattern as its sister island Malta - subject to its same conquests and its same vicissitudes. Also here the island of Gozo have much to offer to the tourist : places connected to events to the past, towers and fortifications, churches and chapels with its interesting history, traditions kept alive in the normal life of people and ..... and .... many myths and legends. When nature comes in the tourist can see easily that it scattered its treasures with a generous hand on the island of Calypso : enchanting landscapes and wonderful beauty spots, golden sandy beaches and rocky bays, fascinating inlets and sheltered bays, hills and valleys which all help give the island personality of its own.
The Maltese islands got an excellent climate with sunny hot weather throughout the long summer months.
Xaghra is poised on 1 of the 3 hills of Gozo. The whole village radiates around the Church piazza.
Beaches: Nearest to Ramla Beach. Lovely to spend the day there. Ramla is about 5 minutes away by car from Xaghra.
Eating out: a selection of restaurants and wine bars in the piazza were one can dine alfresco near the dominating basilica church while watching life passing by.
As a holiday resort, Xaghra offers some fantastic views of the Gozitan landscape, it presents itself with an old fashioned and laid back lifestyle, friendly people and very safe to stay at.
Xaghra is rich in historical heritage:
- Megalithic Ggantija Temples (15 minutes away from farmhouse)
- Calypso's Cave (from mythology)
- Toy museum
- Old grinding windmill - Ta' Kola windmill - so called after its miller and built in 1725. It was recentaly restored and is still functioning.
The joyous village festa is dedicated to the Bambina (baby Madonna) and is popular amongst the locals. The spectacular fireworks (both air and ground) are well renowned.
