Our complex of private houses and apartments is located in its own grounds in rural countryside. Base yourselves in this superb location right on the English / Wales Border and just 10 minutes from historic Chester and the market town of Wrexham.

The North Wales / Denbigh/Flint/Conwy region

This historic border area of England and Wales has been a centre for battles between the English and the Welsh for centuries ( all now peaceful however!). Indeed it is still a local bylaw that if a Welshman is still in Chester after dark - he will be hanged!

Move from the Cheshire plain to the East and the Roman City of Chester will entertain you for days. Move across the border to North Wales and suddenly the Hills and Mountains present an altogether different vista and experience with some of the most unspoilt countryside in the UK.

The Wrexham area

The Roman City of Chester just a 10 min drive from our cottages. See the many attractions including boating on the river, the unbroken City walls which can be walked around, the medieval Cathedral and the historic Shopping Rows all allow for a memorable experience. A family visit to the famous Chester Zoo and Blue Planet aquarium is a must as is the designer outlet village at Cheshire Oaks just to the North of the City.

Wrexham, a traditional market town with substantial shopping, is the main town of North Wales with its own Cathedral, 2 substantial National Trust properties to visit in Erddig Hall and Chirk Castle plus Thomas Telfords Canal aquaduct at Pontcysyllte - a world heritage site, carrying the canal 126 feet over the River Dee.

In between the two, is the delightful village of Rossett with its 6 pubs and eating establishments - highlighted by the Rossett Water Mill famously painted by Turner.

30 miles from Liverpool Airport / Liverpool Seaport, 40 miles from Manchester International Airport and 40 miles from Holyhead seaport. Car Hire available at all Ports. Nearest Rail Stations, Chester ( 2 hours from London)and Wrexham.

Located 1.5 miles from the village of Rossett, were just a short hop! from both Chester and Wrexham.
