About the home

This unique apartment has been beautifully converted from an 19th Century Boat workshop and is situated in heart of central Worthing and has the city’s famous attractions on its doorstep. Accommodation is first floor and on one level. Totally renovated to a very high standard and boasts spacious and very comfortable living with vaulted ceilings, skylights, a large bedroom, wonderfully bright reception room and fully equipped kitchen this property is perfect for small groups or families.

Southcourt is within a few minutes stroll of the restaurants, bars and shops. Access to the seafront in under 10 minutes. Brighton’s famous North Laines are a 20 minutes train ride and London’s Westend is only just over an hour away.

Southcourt provides versatile accommodation for up to five people. The bedroom has a large double bed yet still leaving plenty of space for a cot or children’s bed if needed. This room can be arranged as a twin room on request. Two single beds set up in the large living area can be configured to your requirements as either singles or double bed and made up with fresh linen. Ample storage is provided by way of a large wardrobe. There is a cot available on request.

The south facing lounge is bright and spacious with double French doors opening onto a Juliet balcony It is beautifully furnished and has a contemporary feel. There is a comfortable sofa and chairs, flat screen TV/DVD and quality soft furnishings and wireless broadband.

The large Kitchen houses a dining table which seats 4 people as well as a high chair. The kitchen is well equipped with a large fridge freezer and a range of appliances including ceramic hob, grill, oven, microwave, and washing machine. There are ample good quality cooking and dining utensils.

The large bathroom is clean, stylish and functional, fitted with a bath and shower. A full linen service is provided, offering fluffy towels for the apartment as well as beach towels, bath mats, non slip mats and tea towels.

Southcourt is fitted with lots of child friendly bits such as high chair, cot, stair gate, protection plug sockets, toys and children’s DVD’s and of course Cbebbies . We can also provide, Mini Moto scooters on request.

Off- street private parking for one car is included.

Taking a Taxi:
If you are flying into London Gatwick airport it will cost you around £40 by taxi to get to the apartment. If you take a taxi from London Heathrow the price will be around £70/£80 The cost varies depending on how much luggage you have as each bag will be charged. A taxi will take 30 minutes from Gatwick and about an hour and a half from Heathrow. Please take a receipt or note down the license number if you leave anything in the taxi, it will be easier to find your items if you have the license number of the taxi.

Arriving by taxi you should get out at Southcourt Road, by Worthing Station Car park, The Apartment is at the bottom of a short private road, directly opposite the entrance to the station car park.

Heathrow Airport:
You need to get to London Victoria Train station to get the train to Worthing.
There is a good choice of options for transferring between Heathrow Airport and Victoria train station. There is no single 'best' option. What is best for you depends on your attitude of compromise between cost, speed, comfort and location of your destination in London.
The fastest, most reliable options are rail based from the cheap and crowded London Underground to the expensive, fast and roomy Heathrow Express train.

London Underground Train. For most people this is going to be by far the cheapest transport option. Underground trains leave Heathrow about every 5 minutes throughout the day you take the Piccadilly Line (Dark Blue) to Green Park then change onto the Victoria Line (Light Blue) to Victoria. There is a flat fare to London Victoria which includes interconnecting with other lines. Downside is crowded carriages in London and negotiating escalators, steps with luggage.

National Express Coach runs the UK's main national inter city bus network. In their way into and out of London these coaches stop at Heathrow. For a fare only slightly more than the Underground you get a luxury coach with bathroom between Heathrow and Victoria Coach Station in London.

Heathrow Connect Train . A full size 'over-ground' dedicated airport train that shuttles between Heathrow and London's Paddington Station. Despite being a stopping train it still makes its destination, Paddington in Central London in 25 minutes, about half the time of the Underground, but you then need to take the tube to Victoria.

Heathrow Express Train is the Rolls Royce option. The train runs like the Heathrow Connect train to London's Paddington station but non-stop taking just 15 minutes. The Heathrow Express runs every 15 minutes.

“Fantastic peaceful location yet 10/15 minutes walk to all amenities and the sea” Delightful unusual appartment near to Worthing train station, small yet with the illusion of space with the skylight windows, very light and airy. It was a 10/15 walk to the town centre and the sea front. The landlady could not have been more friendly and helpful. It was quiet and peaceful despite being so near the train station. The only thing I would have changed is the sofa in the sitting room which I found pretty uncomfortable. I would definately recommend this appartment and would return if the opportunity arose.

“Character on the coast” We had a great stay here. It was the perfect base for us to visit some family friends and explore the local area and all it has to offer. The apartment has been done out really beautifully - a perfect balance between comfort and style. The loft beams are stunning. The owner was really friendly and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and had loads of tips on things to see and do (or avoid!) locally. Definitely recommend it.

“great break” What a super location for exploring and doing all sorts of things. Worthing is great for cafes,restaurants.sea,beach pier and trains to London for theatre/meal day. Trains along to coast to Arundel and Chichester. Something different to do each day. The apartment was good value and spotless, well appointed and within ten minutes of everything including all the normal high street shops. Anne was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
