Woolacombe area
Woolacombe itself is a lively village with great pubs, restaurants and places to stay. Visitors of all ages will find plenty to do away from the beach.
There's a friendly, laid-back atmosphere here which visitors enjoy year after year.
No 4 Avalon Court is open to guests all year round, in the Spring you can take advantage of the warm sunny days with crisp fresh air, clear roads and some great sunsets.
During the Summer Woolacombe comes alive with visitors enjoying the fabulous 3 mile long beach, building sandcastles, swimming, surfing, flying kites, horse riding, walking, there is just so much to do and there are lots of other smaller bays well worth visiting, Croyde, Rockham, Barricane and Lee Bay to name a few.
In the Autumn and Winter the area reverts to a pleasant calm after the hustle and bustle of the summer months with nature providing some amazing scenery. This is the time for walking the Coast Path or discovering many other beautiful walks on the surrounding National Trust land.
Whatever the season and whatever the weather when the swells are pumping there's always the Surf.
How to get there
Follow the A361 from Barnstaple signed to Ifracombe. Continue straight on through Braunton until you reach the Mullacott Cross Roundabout, turn left towards Woolacombe. Continue down the main road into Woolacombe, Avalon Court is on the right hand side just before the Narracott Hotel.
