WOOLACOMBE BONAVENTURE this 3 bedroom character bungalow has been totally rebuilt by the present owner to a very high standard retaining a wealth of character and old world charm. BONAVENTURE is situated in a tranquil country lane above Woolacombe and enjoys some spectacular views over the magnificent golden sands of Woolacombe Bay to Lundy Island. The sunny, level, 1/3 of an acre lawned plot is surrounded by hedgerows that provide a degree of privacy. There is ample parking for 4 vehicles on the gravel driveway and pets are very welcome in this lovely holiday home.

LIVING AREAS
The large lounge is light and spacious with a wealth of exposed stonework and ceiling beams. The polished wood floor creates a sense of warmth, whilst the comfortable furnishings add to the cosy atmosphere creating a room of considerable charm. The focal point in this room is, without doubt, the large stone fireplace with period style wood burning stove. Glazed patio doors allow light to flood this room and also provide guests with access to the large garden terrace. Entertainment needs are well catered for as the room has a TV with freeview plus a DVD and VHS player. The dining room enjoys views over the front of the property and will easily accommodate 8 people, it also boasts its own fireplace.

KITCHEN
The beamed ceiling in this good sized room is complemented by oak kitchen units and a tiled floor. The kitchen is well equipped to a high standard, appliances include an electric hob with oven under, washer/drier, microwave and large freestanding fridge/freezer. Patio doors allow access to the garden terrace.

BEDROOMS
Bedroom 1 is the light and airy master bedroom. This room benefits from its location overlooking the rear of the property by getting the full dazzle of the morning sun through the large patio doors that lead onto the rear terrace, the perfect location for an al-fresco breakfast. This room is furnished to a high standard with bedside cabinets shouldering the king-size bed, a useful chest of drawers also add to the available storage space. There is also the added luxury of a wall mounted television.
Bedroom 2 provides guests with a view over the front garden and offers flexible accommodation. The two single beds can be moved together to form a large comfortable double on request.
Bedroom 3 also enjoys front garden views and offers a private single room with a large fitted wardrobe.

BATHROOM
This spacious tiled room provides guests with a bath, wash basin and WC, in addition there is a shower cubicle containing a power shower.

The North Devon Area Gateway to the Heritage Coast. In an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, nestling snugly amongst the rugged cliffs of the majestic Atlantic coast lies the town of Ilfracombe. The beautiful and breathtaking scenery of the North Devon coast surrounds this charming natural harbour.

The Tarka Trail (180 miles of walking and cycling routes through stunning countryside) offers the energetic a perfect opportunity to explore the highways and byways of North Devon. You can download a range of easy-to-follow cycle route to print out and enjoy.

Exmoor National Park also offers the walker a unique landscape to explore with added bonus horse trekking expeditions for those with equestrian interests.

For total peace and quiet and a truly memorable experience there is Lundy Island, a three mile long island, 12 miles off the North Devon coast. A paradise for wildlife watchers it also has a marine reserve which you can dive off.

North Devon also has several golf courses, with the championship courses at Saunton and the Royal course at Westward Ho! Locally we have courses at Easewell and Willingcott.

Gardens
The mild climate in North Devon means we have some wonderful gardens to visit. Marwood Gardens is a delight. Arlington Court (NT) has large gardens and the house of the Chichester family. Docton Mill in Hartland is in a delighful valley. RHS Rosemoor gardens at Great Torrington have matured into a selection of specialist areas as well as the original gardens.

For the energetic why not have a go at Quad Biking, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Indoor Climbing, Paintball and Sailing.

The area also has a wealth of attractions including, The Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park, Milky Way, The Big Sheep, Dartington Crystal, Torrington 1646, Clovelly village and Watermouth Castle.

The Woolacombe / Mortehoe area

WALK TO - Woolacombe is an ideal centre for an amazing range of adventure sports including surfing, paragliding, kayaking, coasteering and much more. Take a boat trip to Lundy Island,or a coastal Wildlife Cruise, enjoy a day out on a fishing boat or saddle up and go horse riding across the sand dunes and bridle ways. Woolacombe, extending to Putsborough, making a 3 mile sandy beach holds the 'England for Excellence Gold Award' for best family resort and was voted the Best British Beach in the Mail On Sunday. This stretch of golden sand has won both the blue flag and Premier Seaside Beach awards for its cleanliness, water quality and facilities. Lifeguards ensure safe family swimming during the summer and surfers come from all over the country to enjoy the great waves and clean water. Enjoy family friendly pubs, serving good pub grub. Spoil yourself at one of the many seafood restaurants in and around Woolacombe and Mortehoe, or just have a takeaway, fish and chips or a delicious cream tea as well as browse the many surf and variety shops. Visitors of all ages will find plenty to do away from the beach. There's a friendly, laid-back atmosphere here which visitors are sure to enjoy. Woolacombe and Mortehoe are very dog friendly areas with plenty of walks that you and your dog will enjoy.

CYCLE TO - National Cycle Network,Devon Coast Route 27. This is a wonderfully scenic circular route on the North Devon coast with a link that allows a start and finish in Ilfracombe. and takes in two superb traffic free sections, the National Trust coast route beside the sea at Woolacombe Sands and the former railway path from Ilfracombe to Willingcott Cross. The remainder is along attractive minor roads through quiet villages and rolling Devon farmland.

DRIVE TO - Explore the beautiful Exmoor National Park. Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, The Milky Way and The Big Sheep all within a short driving distance. Cultural days can be passed at Arlington Court, historic Clovelly Village, Watermouth Castle, Lynton, Lynmouth, Victorian-styled Ilfracombe with its quaint fishing harbour and many more. Saunton Golf Course is a mere 3 miles down the road with its 2 famous links courses. Finally, picturesque walks through beautiful forested areas and running rivers such as at Watersmeet will complete your wonderful stay in this beautiful part of England.
