Thorpe is situated in the sought after Bay View Road area of Woolacombe, just one road back from the main Esplanade giving this house seclusion and an elevated view over the bay. Everything has been considered to offer an extremely comfortable upmarket holiday home with high specification and facilities to provide the discerning holiday maker with an unforgettable holiday in Woolacombe. Thorpe has plenty of parking.

On entering through the front door into an inner hall this then leads into the main living/dining room which spans the majority of the front of the house with huge patio doors leading out onto the decking area with south facing sea views. The large corner sofa seats 10 comfortably. There is a large dining table to seat 10 and this also has large windows adjacent to it so this shares the view of the sitting area. Off this area is the “snug” or TV room with cosy wood burner, lovely deep pile carpet, L shaped corner sofa and TV. There is a patio door from this room to the garden area.

Open to the living area is the well appointed kitchen with gas two door Aga and Neff electric oven and 2 ring induction hob. There is a full size dishwasher, bin cupboard, microwave, fridge freezer and a useful pantry.

To the rear of the house is a beautiful utility hall area with heated slate floor and atrium ceiling giving lots of light. From here is a cloakroom, WC, boiler cupboard with drying rail and utility room with shower, sink, tumble dryer, washing machine and fridge freezer.

There is also a downstairs en-suite bedroom with king size bed off this area. This has a lovely big en-suite, windows to the side of the house and built in wardrobe.

Upstairs are a further 4 bedrooms, the smallest has a single bed with a trundle bed underneath for a 10th person. The second bedroom has 6ft superking size bed, has a walk in wardrobe and is decorated in neutral tones. There is a shower and bathroom for use of the single and 2nd bedroom. The 3rd bedroom has a king size bed, views to the front and has an en-suite shower. Finally the superb master bedroom with superking size bed, full en-suite and the most wonderful views from the huge apex floor to ceiling window with Juliet style glass fronted balcony.

Outside are lawned sloping gardens to the front and full decking across the property with an outdoor sofa and sunken hot tub from which to take in the view over the bay, simply spectacular!

To the side of the house is an outdoor shower to shower off sand or cool down after sunbathing and there is a washing line. Everything has been considered in this special seaside holiday home.

A refundable damage deposit of £500 is required at balance stage.

The West Country region

Woolacombe is sitauted in North Devon and is in an area of outstanding natural beauty, also known for having one of the cleanest, safest beaches in the area which is manned by lifeguards during the main summer season. Ideal for families and water sports enthusiasts. Also great for walkers as the coastline in this area is stunning.

Things To Do North Devon has a wealth of things to do during your stay. With some of the best beaches in Europe, including some of the finest surfing beaches, you can either relax and sunbath or take part in exhilarating water sports.

In the Area

Mortehoe and Woolacombe are within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), providing wonderful walks including the beautiful South West Coast Path. In early May you can join in guided walks in the North Devon and Exmoor Walking Festival.

The Tarka Trail (180 miles of walking and cycling routes through stunning countryside) offers the energetic a perfect opportunity to explore the highways and byways of North Devon. You can download a range of easy-to-follow cycle route to print out and enjoy.

Exmoor National Park also offers the walker a unique landscape to explore with added bonus horse trekking expeditions for those with equestrian interests.

For total peace and quiet and a truly memorable experience there is Lundy Island, a three mile long island, 12 miles off the North Devon coast. A paradise for wildlife watchers it also has a marine reserve which you can dive off.

North Devon also has several golf courses, with the championship courses at Saunton and the Royal course at Westward Ho! Locally we have courses at Easewell and Willingcott.

Woolacombe

Situated in North Devon, along England’s western coastline, lie some of Europe’s finest and cleanest beaches, ideal for both families with children and watersports enthusiasts. The village of Woolacombe can be found along this spectacular golden coastline of soft sandy beaches, flanked by the dramatic headlands of Baggy Point and Morte Point.

Almost three miles of golden sands stretch from Putsborough in the south to Woolacombe village itself offering plenty of space for everybody. Bathing is particularly safe in the shallow waters which are patrolled by lifeguards during the main summer season.

The small settlement of Mortehoe is a pretty stone built village mentioned in the Doomsday Book. The village features several tea rooms and pubs, a thirteenth century church and Mortehoe Heritage Centre which recounts the areas rich maritime history. Mortehoe is also the starting point for many scenic walks along this dramatic stretch of coastline. Just north of the village and reached only on foot, is Rockham Beach lying at the base of the 100 ft cliff, an ideal location for a peaceful day on the beach. A picturesque village on a surf spot, what more could you want!
