Trimstone self catering cottages in the grounds of Trimstone Manor Country House Hotel in North Devon are set in 44 acres of landscaped gardens and countryside, within minutes of secluded coves and many fine sandy beaches. The Cottages have been converted from what was originally an old mill and its ancilliary buildings. They are clean and comfortably furnished with all you need for your self catering holiday. The six cottages vary in size and provide accommodation for between 2 and 8 people.

The cottages will appeal to both families and couples as they have the benefit of all the hotel facilities including the restaurant and bar, indoor heated swimming pool (seasonal), sauna, gym, games room and recreation paddock and free wi-fi.

Trimstone is a tranquil secluded spot but easily accessible from the A361 making it the ideal spot for a quiet holiday whilst allowing guests to explore the beaches and countryside of North Devon. Local attractions include sheep dog and falconry demonstrations, a sea life aquarium, surfing lessons, fishing and clay shooting, historic Chambercombe Manor and the National Trust's Carriage Collection at Arlington Court as well as artist Damien Hurst's "Verity" on Ilfracombe pier and many beautiful coastal and country walks.

Trimstone also allows families and larger groups to enjoy holidays in the same place with those who want a relaxing break staying in hotel and those with young children who prefer the flexibility of self catering to stay close by.

Trimstone Manor Country House Hotel is a beautiful Manor House in North Devon set in 44 acres of landscaped gardens and countryside, within minutes of secluded coves and many fine sandy beaches such as Woolacombe Bay, Saunton Sands and Croyde. It is also within easy reach of Ilfracombe, Exmoor and the famous North Devon coastal path.

The property, with origins in the Domesday Book and parts dating back some 400 years, was tastefully converted to a hotel in 1976 and has recently undergone a major refurbishment.

The Hotel boasts wonderful facilities including en-suite bedrooms and suites, self-catering cottages, a Lounge Bar and Restaurant, with a courtyard and extensive gardens where you can relax with a glass of wine. This, coupled with an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, gym and games room for residents means that Trimstone Manor Country House Hotel has everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay.

The Woolacombe area

Perfect location for those who want a peaceful and relaxing break. But with easy access to the A361 Trimstone Trimstone is perfect for those who want to explore North Devon. The fine sandy beaches and rolling surf of Croyde, Woolacombe and Saunton are a short drive away as are the secluded coves and cliff paths around Ilfracombe and Combe Martin. Other attractions include the famous twin villages of Lynton and Lynmouth, Exmoor, the North Devon coastal footpath, Arlington Court for the National Trusts’ Carriage Collection or the delights of a working sheep dog and falconry demonstration at Lee Cross under a mile away.
