The house has been superbly refurbished and equipped to a very high standard and you will marvel at the scale of the accommodation arranged over three floors. This house is perfect for a family holiday. As you enter St Audrys House you will find a spacious comfortable drawing room, an elegant dining room, and a huge open-plan kitchen with breakfast area and second dining table and chairs. Leading off the breakfast area is a morning / family room with sofa bed (making a +2), SKY TV and DVD/Video player along with Wi-Fi internet access and further comfy seating. As you ascend the staircase to the first floor there is a charming window seat, the perfect spot for reading or relaxing as the sun pours in. On the first floor there is a luxurious master bedroom suite with en-suite bathroom, dressing room, seating and views to the golf course. There are a further eight bedrooms which have all been tastefully decorated and are comfortably furnished, all have either en-suite facilities or a close by bath or shower room. St Audry's House makes an ideal base for a sporting family holiday being just two miles from the town of Woodbridge with its river and sailing facilities. Additional 'pay and play' golf, spa and leisure facilities are very close by including swimming pool and gym (Owner has arranged 25-50% discount on entry fee and spa packages, and 2 for 1 offers on selected golf packages). Golf players with a handicap can play on the St Audrys golf course with prior arrangement with the club; there is also a hairdressing salon within easy walking distance.

On the ground floor you will find; an elegant dining room with seating for 18 people. Spacious drawing room with feature fireplace, wooden floors and SKY TV/DVD/video player. Huge kitchen with range cooker, large breakfast area with dining table and chairs, SKY TV and pool table, leading into the family room with SKY TV, Wi-Fi connection and seating including a double sofabed. Cloakroom. First floor: master bedroom suite with king size bed, dressing room, en-suite bathroom, seating and views to the golf course. Guest bedroom with king size bed, en-suite bathroom and views to the golf course. Two twin bedrooms with two double beds per room. Two separate shower rooms and a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Second floor: 5 twin bedrooms, family bathroom and separate shower room. There is a telephone for incoming calls only. WIFI is installed for your use. To the rear of the property there is a charming private courtyard garden with patio furniture. There are notable places of interest nearby: Sutton Hoo, the Anglo Saxon burial ground and museum; Snape Maltings, the famous concert hall and complex associated with the composer Benjamin Britten; Thorpeness Mere and 'House in the Clouds' and the RSPB reserve at Minsmere.
Other coastal towns such as Southwold, Aldeburgh, Dunwich, Walberswick and Felixstowe will make interesting excursions, all with lovely beaches. So much to do and so little time!
The Woodbridge / Melton area
Melton is a small village which has a village shop for general items, stamps, newspapers etc, two public houses, both serving food and a fish and chip shop. Across the road from St Audry's House you will find the Ufford Park Golf and Spa Hotel. A discount has been arranged for you here of 50% on the entry fee as well as 2 for 1 offers on spa packages and green fees. There are two restaurants, indoor swimming pool and gymnasium as well as the spa and golf course.
Approximately 3 miles takes you tino Woodbridge, a market town of considerable character on the west bank of the River Deben. The picturesque streets are lined with historic and interesting buildings. Many individual shops, boutiques and art galleries all draw in visitors along with the independent cinema, restaurants and traditional public houses which serve the local Adnams ale.
In the other direction, again approximately 3 miles, you will find Wickham Market, a super little town with local shops, restaurants and public houses.

Turn left at lights and proceed through Melton village, stay on this road until you come to St Audry's Park road on your left (approximately 2 miles). Turn into St Audry's Park Road and travel through golf course passing the dark timber- framed club house on your left. As the road bends to the left you will see St Audry's House directly in front of you between two redbrick gate houses and with a grassed turning circle in front.

Pretty much the most beautiful place you could ever dream to stay. My friends and I could not believe our luck at how magnificent the place was, I'm pretty sure none of us had ever been anywhere so luxurious before. Everything was spotless and the owners very nice. We had a fantastic party and will be back. |
