The nearby historic market town of Woodbridge is situated on the banks of the River Deben and boasts independent shops and the world famous Tide Mill. Other places of interest in the area include Framlingham and Orford castles, the National Trust owned Anglo Saxon burial mounds of Sutton Hoo and the seaside town of Aldeburgh.
