It is officially designated as the country’s largest ‘areas of outstanding natural beauty’. Famous for its hillsides, river valley’s and Cotswold Stone Villages, the Cotswolds hold a wealth of history, stunning scenery, fine dining and many varieties of activities for all age levels.
Each village (no more than 1.5 miles away) has a selection of good food pubs, including the Swan at Swinbrook and The Lamb at Shipton. Oak Tree has its own independent access and a garden terrace separated by a fence but with a gate so that there is access into the adjoining cottage - The Gallery if hired by a large group.T
he cottage has good access to local Cotswold locations including Burford, Bourton on the Water, Bibury, Chipping Norton and Broadway. As well as many excellent local walks, attractions such as Cotswold Wildlife Park and Blenheim Palace at Woodstock are within a short drive. Oxford is approximately 20 miles away.
