Reflexology: using massage and pressure to specific reflex points on the foot, the body is brought into a state of balance which facilitates stress relief and your body's natural healing powers.
NAET (Nambudripads allergy elimination techniques): is a revolutionary new therapy which not only identifies allergies and emotional blockages but also uses techniques to balance the body's energy systems (meridians) thereby reducing symptoms and allowing the body to correct itself. This therapy has been found to be beneficial not only for aiding specific allergies and intolerances (such as gluten, egg, and lactose intolerance) but also allergy related conditions such as colic and eczema in babies, autism in children, female and male infertility, auto-immune conditions along with reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression.
About the therapist: Karen is a Biomedical scientist having worked for the NHS for over 22 years, she completed an honours degree in 1993 at Liverpool John Moores University. Having a great belief in holistic therapy, she went onto train as a Reflexologist in 1999 and then after taking her daughter for allergy treatments became increasing interested in NAET deciding to become a fully qualified practitioner in 2014. Karen feels passionately that this therapy in conjunction with slight changes to lifestyle including diet, work-life balance, gentle exercise and meditation are the key to unlocking the body's incredible healing ability, helping to reverse both acute and chronic illness.

"best way to ring in the new year"
Absolutely lovely place to stay, very relaxing, spacious and clean. Me and my friends decided that we wanted to do something different to ring in the New Year so we decided to rent this house out for a couple of nights. The main attraction was the hotub which didn't disappoint at all when we were popping the champagne in there and ringing the New year in. Unfortunately the people who stayed the night before us had tried to be helpful by saving on electricity and turned it off which meant Erika had to spend a good 4/5 hours filling it up with water boiled from the kettle to get it back to temperature - can't thank her enough for this and for all of her help throughout the stay and after we had left. The only negative I would say was that there was only 1 toilet which between 6 of us was a bit of a problem after the amount of alcohol we had consumed! Other than that we had the most amazing time and can't wait to go back. Would definitely recommended this place and there was also a Fayre and Square restaurant just up the road which we had a lovely meal at on New Years Day.

"Spacious and comfy"
We had a very enjoyable stay at Witch Wood over Christmas. The property was nice and warm while the temperatures outside plummeted and the snow fell. It was clean and well equipped: Sky TV, Wii console and plenty of games for children. But the outstanding thing was how helpful the owner was, accommodating all our requests. And when we asked if a few Christmas decorations would be possible, we arrived to found a beautifully decorated tree in the living room. Super.

"Fantastic cottage for all the family"
We all had a fantastic family weekend break. The cottage was very spacious and the kids loved playing in the woodland gardens. The kids were also kept entertained for hours in the games room. While our favourite part was relaxing in the hut tub. We came up to visit friends and show the kids around Liverpool. We also took a trip the beach at West Kirby. The Wirral is a lovely place to visit, we will definitely come back again.

"Not fit for purpose"
We stayed at the property to attend our son's wedding, we were a family group of 7 adults.
The beds in the large room are not suitable for adults, all three broke, when my sons sat on them, which meant they slept with the mattress on the floor.
The shower rail was broken, which meant the shower curtain didn't fit properly.
One of the chairs had wobbly legs.
The cooker is so old, it was impossible to know which hob was on as the indicators had all worn off, and it was v hard to work out how to control the temperature as only one of the knobs had a number on. The toaster went bang when we tied to use it and there were no pots pans and oven trays suitable for a family.
But there was a hot tub which was very nice, but the filter didn't stay on and the wi fi was very intermittent.
I am so sorry to hear that the property did not meet your expectation on this occasion. Unfortunately we did not realise there was any problem with the beds until after your visit, and this has now been rectified. There was no negative feedback to us during your visit. We always do our best to ensure that our standards are high so that we can continue to gain good feedback from our guests, who very much enjoy their stay at Witchwood

"Great weekend getaway"
Me and several other friends decided to have a weekend away to celebrate my 21st - we had a great time, didn't need to leave the house as there were plenty of enjoyable things there which kept us entertained. Large tesco superstore 2 minutes up the road which was very helpful. Very comfortable beds!
Thank you so much for your feedback. It is great to hear you have enjoyed Witchwood and we look forward to seeing you again.

Quaint house set in the most beautiful gardens. Enjoyed breakfast on the patio listening to the birds. Yet property is close to Heswell village which is lovely.
Linda was brilliant very friendly and helpful
Thank you for your feedback, one of the reasons why we also love Witchwood is the ability to listen and see the nature. We are over the moon to hear that you enjoyed your stay, and hopefully we will see you again soon.

"Lovely place to stay"
I booked Witchwood for family who were over from Tasmania. There were eight of them 5 adults and 3 children. Witchwood was ideal, plenty of space inside for them. The children loved the garden and had great fun playing on the tyre swing. The weather was lovely so they were also able to use the hot tub. The youngest child was under 2 but the garden was quite secure with the gate closed. The whole family had fun in the games room and the sofa bed served as an extra bed at night. Although only 2 bedrooms the large one was ideal for Mum and Dad, the 2 older children and the cot for the little one. Erica and Linda were very helpful and on hand if they were needed. All in all a very pleasant stay and good memories for the family to take back to Tasmania with them. A big thank you Erica and Linda.
Thank you for your feedback, it really does mean a lot to us.
We are made up that the family had a wonderful time and had the perfect weather to accompany.

"we cant wait to go back!"
We stayed at witchwood over the easter weekend. There were 8 of us all together (4 adults, 4 children and 3 dogs). The bungalow was very spacious, plenty room for everyone -including the dogs. The outside space was amazing. The kids (8&10 years old) absolutely loved it. They climbed trees, played on the tyre swing, made dens etc. We also made use of the hot tub, which was wonderful.
We didnt spend any money the whole weekend (we took all the food and drink with us), and we didnt need to use the car. There are lots of lovely walks to go on, child and dog friendly.
We had a bbq on one of the evenings then relaxed with a dvd in front of the log fire. The kids didnt make much use of the games room as they were outside the whole time!
I cannot recommend this holiday cottage enough, we plan to return next year and can't wait.
Linda who was there to greet us was really friendly and helpful. She couldnt do enough for us, and was just a phone call away if we had any problems with anything.
Overall, a fantastic holiday was had by everyone in our group and we highly recommen Witchwood.
Thank you for your feedback, and it we would love to welcome you back to Witchwood.
We appreciate that pets are a huge part of a family, which is why we welcome pets. The land certainly lends itself to children, pets and generally enjoying nature.

"Fantastic Family Getaway"
We have just got back from a short family break at Witchwood and were very impressed with the property. We've been to several cottages throughout the UK and this is the best one we have stayed in. The games room was one of the features which attracted us and provided hours of entertainment for the kids. The tree swing was also a huge hit with our 10 year old and the WiFi kept us connected. The property is spacious and tastefully decorated and very well equipped. The garden is very secluded, complete with hot tub. There is also plenty of storage. We were very comfortable during our stay and hope to return.
Thank you so much for your feedback.
It is absolutely wonderful to hear that you rate Witchwood so very highly. With a family of our own we appreciate the importance of being able to entertain the entire family, and we are glad that we have manged to do that with Witchwood.

This place had everything we needed.
Whislt the kids ran around the garden for the majority of the day, the games room in the evening was a perfect combination.
We adults had a wonderful time catching up with the log burner making it ever so authentic.
Recommeded? - Absolutly
