Windermere / Staveley area
Staveley the home of cycling in the Lake District has good hire shops and plenty of routes nearby. Windermere, a "Mecca" for tourists is but a few miles away and travelling in the opposite direction is the medieval market town of Kendal, gateway to the lakes.
How to get there
From junction 36 on the M6 motorway take the A591 towards Kendal & Windermere.
By pass Kendal and continue on a further 5 miles until you see the Staveley & Kentmere signpost.
Turn right for Staveley and after ½ a mile turn left after the Eagle & Child pub towards the railway station.
