Chimneys is a Visit Britain 4* property having a Gold Award for its quality and comfort. This is checked on a yearly basis by Visit Britain to ensure Chimneys standards are maintained.
From the moment you enter the property you are transported into contemporary indulgence, with state of the art facilities, solid oak furniture throughout the property, quality super king size beds with comfy matrasses and luxury bedding perfect for a good nights sleep.
Chimneys is unique in the fact that all the 4 bedrooms are very spacious each with lavish en-suite bathrooms. (see floor plan in photo section)
Every guest having their own piece of luxury, no one couple gets the better bedroom as each one has a super king size bed and their own bathroom.
Chimneys is perfectly positioned in the center of Windermere with a wealth of shops and restaurants only a few minutes walk away, the park is around the corner and you can walk straight out of the cottage onto the Cumbrian hills, a great central location.
During Peak weeks, Easter, School Holidays, Xmas, Chimneys is only available for weekly rentals, no short breaks available.
Special Spring 3 night weekend breaks Friday - Monday £ 695 (excluding peak periods) We do not accept 1 or 2 night breaks.

FIRST FLOOR
Bedroom 1: Wainwright Room - Has a super king sized bed with en-suite bathroom, shower over bath, hand basin, wc and heated towel rail.
Bedroom 2: Wordsworth Room - Has a Super king sized bed with en-suite bathroom with large walk in shower, hand basin, wc and heated towel rail.
SECOND FLOOR:
Bedroom 3: Hill Top Room- This sunny vaulted bedroom boasts exposed beams and has a superb super king sized sleigh bed,with the added luxury of a roll top bath with shower attachment in the bedroom where you can soak away the day and watch the wall mounted 50" flat screen TV.
There is a separate room with handbasin, wc and heated towel rail.
LOWER GROUND FLOOR:
Bedroom 4: Low Wood Room - Spacious bright and airy bedroom with super king sized bed under floor heating.
Hallway leading to a further luxury bathroom with his and hers sinks, large bath with separate walk in shower with spray jet system, under floor heating and heated towel rails.
Chimneys benefits from gas central heating throughout.
All bed linen and towels are provided (1 bath sheet and 1 hand towel per person)
Every bedroom is supplied with a salon style hair-dryer

Rear seating area with seating which convert s into picnic benches for alfresco dining giving ample seating/dinning space for 8 people.
Off road car parking for up to 2 family/3 small cars with additional on road parking at the front of the property for one additional vehicle with permit (no additional cost)

Mid-week breaks start Monday 4pm and end Friday 10am
An initial deposit of 20% of the rental is to be paid when making the booking and the balance of the holiday must be paid in full eight weeks prior to the date of arrival, when late availability is booked full payment is required with the completed booking form. A cheque or bank transfer is acceptable for payment.
A £200 refundable damage deposit will be added to the final payment balance. This will be fully refunded within two weeks of your leaving (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
Sleeps a maximum of 8 adults/children plus 2 babies under 2yrs
Strictly no smoking in the property and no pets.

The Windermere / Bowness area
Windermere and its splendid scenery is ideally located in the Lake District National Park, the towns of Bowness and Windermere are vibrant, lively communities popular with new and repeat visitors alike.
Windermere offers a range of amenities to suit all tastes, including shops, pubs and restaurants. Boat rides can be taken on Lake Windermere, while nearby are Beatrix Potter’s ‘Hill Top Farm’ and the Lakeside Aquarium. Good walking is available all around Windermre. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children can enjoy the "World of Beatrix Potter" in Bowness, where the latest technology brings the author's famous characters to life.
