This is a beautifully maintained park, awarded the David Bellamy gold award for its conservation efforts.Perfect for family holidays White Cross Bay boasts one of the best boat launching facilities on Lake Windermere and ideally situated between Bowness on Windermere and Ambleside, the heart of the Southern Lakes.
The Lodge is accessed by a small flights of steps and overlooks the marina slipway and is approximately 25m from the waters edge .The Lodge has an open plan lounge and dining area. Two bedrooms, one KING with en-suite
shower, one DOUBLE and a main bathroom with whirlpool bath/shower. Outside is decking with additional table and chairs .
On site facilities include a relaxing bar serving meals and a separate licensed restaurant, as well as a take away service and well stocked shop. Outside is a childrens play area and tennis courts.The Lake District Visitor Centre at Brockhole is less than a mile from White Cross Bay.
The swimming pool,sauna and fitness suite can be accessed by purchasing a pass for the whole of your stay, age16 and over - £10, under 16 - £5 and under 5 go free. Under 16's must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

With full gas central heating the open plan living features a fully fitted kitchen including gas Hob and separate electric Oven, Dishwasher, Fridge & separate Freezer, Microwave, Coffee Maker, Toaster & Kettle. For guest convenience the kitchen will be stocked with disposable dishcloth, sponge and dish wash tablets, washing up liquid and tea towels. A Dining Table will seat four people. The Lounge area has comfortable seating for 5/6, DVD player, Radio/CD player with IPOD dock and a wall mounted Television. For additional heating there is a wall mounted electric fire.
A small utility houses a Washer/dryer, iron and ironing board. A hair dryer is available for use in any room(excluding bathrooms)
One double bedroom with KING size bed, fitted wardrobes, small LCD TV, and en suite shower. The 2nd bedroom with DOUBLE bed and separate bathroom with whirlpool bath with shower over. Total accommodation for up to four guests. Please note the duvet covers may differ from the ones pictured.

The Lodge is accessed via a small flight of steps either from the front or rear. Parking for one vehcle at the side of the lodge. Additional parking close by (approx 10mtrs away). Additional dining table and chairs on the decked balcony
Our Lodge is intended for family and adult holidays. Single sex groups, hen or stag nights are not accepted on the site.

This arrangement is an improvement to the service given in the past. The quality of the bedding, towels and cleaning will be much improved. A Home Pack for your convenience includes disposable dish cloth, sponge, dishwasher detergent and washing up liquid is included in the price.

The Cumbria/Lake District region
Boat trips on Windermere leave Bowness on Windermere and Ambleside daily in peak season (about 3 miles away) A car is advantages to access other areas of the lake district and places such as Kendal, Keswick and Cockermouth. Plenty of walking is available on your doorstep should you prefer to leave the car behind.
White Cross Bay was the site of Shorts factory. Shorts was the first company in the world to make production aircraft and was a manufacturer of flying boats.
The Windermere / Troutbeck Bridge area
The Sun Hotel in Troutbeck Bridge is highly recommended for its good food, A Spar shop is available at the garage. Larger supermarket Booths is in Windermere along with Lakeland

Directions from the south
Leave the M6 at junction 36, then at roundabout take the exit onto the A590 (signposted Kendal, Barrow). The A590 becomes the A591 - Continue onto the A591 (signposted Windermere)
at roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A591
Continue on the A591 through Stavely and Ings before entering Windermere.
At mini-roundabout go straight across toward Ambleside
Follow A591 for for a couple of miles and after passing the garage and Spar shop at Troutbeck Bridge, White Cross Bay is on the left a further 300m .
Directions from the north
Exit the M6 at junction 40, take the 4th exit
at the roundabout on to the A66 and follow the signs for Keswick. Turn onto the B5332
(signposted St. John’s in the Vale). At the junction of the A591 turn left heading for
Ambleside. Continue on the A591 through Ambleside towards Windermere for
approximately 2 miles and White Cross Bay is on the right before Troutbeck Bridge.
