Langdale View is very well positioned for exploring the Lake District. It has four comfortably furnished self contained apartments. Each has a fully equipped kitchen and sitting/ dining area with a TV and a selection of videos.
No 1 Apartment sleeps six with a double bedroom and a double bedroom with bunk beds. No 2 Apartment, also on the ground floor, is a studio sleeping two with a double bed. No 3 Apartment, on the first floor, sleeps three with one bedroom. No 4 Apartment, on the second floor has the best views over the lake towards the fells. It sleeps up to four with a double bedroom and a double sofa bed in the lounge.
All the apartments are non-smoking. Pets are welcome in No 1 and No 3 Apartments only.
There is a private car and a pedestrian access to the main street where there are a selection of pubs, restaurants and shops. It is a ten minute walk to Lake Windemere where you can catch a steamer boat to Ambleside or Lakeside. Alternatively there is a convenient bus stop providing access to the Lake District.

Windermere / Bowness area
Bowness is Cumbria's most popular holiday destination. An area where the rich built large houses to provide views across the lake, some of which have since been converted. The National Park Visitor Centre is one example at Brockhole between Bowness and Ambleside. Opposite Brockhole is Wray Castle and the first Lake District holiday home of Beatrix Potter.
How to get there
By car: take A590/A591 from junction 36 of M6 past Kendal to Windermere. Turn left at Windermere through the town and straight on to Bowness. After the Co-op on right and Lakeland fashions on the left turn sharp left into Helm Road. 100m up this road turn left into Craig Walk. The lane is very narrow so take care. After the guest house and apartment building turn left through the metal gates into the car park.
By train: Oxenholme is the nearest mainline station. Connect with local train to Windermere. From Windermere station apartments are approx 1 mile. There are buses and taxis from the station.

The lounge seating is comfortable chairs and sofas with TVs and videos./DVDs There are games and a selection of books and videos. The bathrooms have a shower over the bath. Children are welcome and cots and highchairs are available. Pets welcome in apartments 1 and 3.
Further details outdoors: Private car park with pedestrian access to the main street in Bowness. Apartment 1 has a separate external door. There is a secure place to leave bicycles (by agreement). Outside seating area in a sunny position.

Weekly bookings are Saturday to Saturday. Outside of high season short breaks are available by arrangement. Minimum stay is 3 nights. Deposit to confirm booking and balance due 2 weeks before arrival.
