Honeypot Cottage is extremely central and at the bottom of Brantfell Road and the foot of the famous Dales Way Walk. It has all the attractions of the lakeside resort readily available. Equally, guests of all ages can take advantage of Honeypot Cottage being so very accessible to all areas of the Lakes.

The Cumbria/Lake District

The handy Tourist Information Centres are scattered all around the Lakes to help you make the most of the activities you wish to complete throughout your visit.
Bowness-on-Windermere is one of the most popular locations in the Lake District. Situated midway down Lake Windermere, a long promenade skirts the lake with views over a busy harbour where pleasure cruisers arrive and depart taking visitors up and down the lake.
The town has a vibrant, bustling atmosphere, especially in the summer months and a superb lakeside setting with lovely views across and down the lake. A car ferry runs to the far side of the lake taking visitors to Sawrey and Hawkshead or you can take a trip on one of the steamers north to Ambleside or south to Lakeside.
There is plenty to see and do including the Beatrix Potter Exhibition and Steamboat Museum, as well as an 18 hole ‘pitch and put’ and sailing marinas. Bowness provides a good selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants as well as a wide range of shops, all within easy reach.

"Great location, disappointing accommodation"
Really convenient for all amenities in Bowness, however, accommodation slightly disappointing. Lower ground floor felt very dark, damp and cold. Lack of good usable mirror in bathroom. Main living area was more comfortable and pleasant. Outside space was not inviting, decking and steps (so many steps!) were quite treacherous and not suitable for young children. Whilst grateful for parking, it was extremely tight and steep to manoeuvre.

I don't actually know what this property is like, but if it is anything like their booking system then I am glad that we are not staying there.
After dealing through a company called Chestnut Property Development Co Ltd. I would not recommend this property to anyone.
29th September - I received an email from the above company confirming my booking I sent £350 which was the total cost for my weekend via bank transfer.
30th September - Confirmation received from CPD that my money had been received
3rd October - email received informing me they had made a mistake and the cottage was no longer available.
3rd October - I replied asking for the money to be refunded to my bank account.
5th October - As no response to email I telephoned and asked for money to be credited to my account only to be told that this was not possible as they didn't have this facility but a cheque would be sent recorded delivery.
6th October - No cheque received so further email sent - no response
7th October - No cheque received, no email response so another telephone call only to be told that the cheque would be sent that day - when asked why it wasn't sent on 5th they didn't know.
10th October - Cheque finally arrived and paid in - just waiting to see if it clears!!!
