Quietly situated along a country lane, deep in the Hampshire countryside, yet only about 6 miles from the historic cathedral city of Winchester, this former Methodist chapel (1861) has been converted with real flair and imagination to provide self-catering accommodation to a very high specification.

The Chapel stands in its own large garden with striking original features - rounded arch windows and internal shutters - and with a few of the trappings that you might expect to find in a chapel, a hymn board, even a "prie-dieu" blending unobtrusively into the general decorative scheme. Very light and uncluttered, the interior combines a high degree of comfort with excellent facilities, making this a very desirable base from which to explore this historic part of Southern England.

Nearby Winchester, England's ancient Anglo-Saxon capital is steeped in history with many medieval buildings waiting to be discovered, including the magnificent Norman cathedral and the legendary, Arthurian Round Table housed in The Great Hall. If you're looking for a quiet weekend away and would prefer not to venture too far, then why not explore this unspoilt part of the countryside using the numerous footpaths and bridlepaths in the area immediately surrounding the chapel.
