About this location
The Cotswolds region
Pinnock Lodge is set in the small village of Pinnock in the North Cotswolds. The views from the front of the lodge demonstrate the peaceful and tranquil location. It is located right next to the Gallops of one of the most prestigious horse racers in the area. During race festivals you can often see the horses being exercised in the mornings. There are also many bridleways and footpaths close to the property, including the Gloucestershire Way that runs through the village.
A stunning short drive over the rolling hills leads you to Sudeley Castle, the previous home of King Henry VIII's wife Queen Katherine Parr. Here you can view the historic galleries and contemporary art, explore the magnificent gardens and visit the seasonal events. It is set in the Saxon town of Winchcombe, where you will also find quaint tearooms, butchers, bakers and the popular Wesley House Bar and Restaurant. Country pubs serving excellent food and local ales can be found in nearby Ford and Guiting Power. Also located in the North Cotswolds you can visit Snowshill Manor and Lavender Garden, The Rare Breeds Animal Farm, Batsford Arboretum and villages such as The Slaughters, Stow-on-the-Wold and Stratford-upon-Avon.
