This delightful detached barn conversion is set on the edge of a 60 acre grass and stock farm in the beautiful Blackmore Vale on the Dorset/Somerset border. Offering a perfect retreat, refurbished to a good standard, this is excellent for those wanting to explore both these charming counties.

You have to visit the many National Trust and Stately Homes including Stourhead, Montacute, Wilton House, Longleat House and Safari Park, Tintinhull and Lytes Cary Manor. There is also Stonehenge, Clarks shopping village in Street and Glastonbury Tor. You are only 10 minutes from the famous Wincanton Racecourse www.wincantonracecourse.co.uk and for keen golfers there is a choice of courses within a 10 mile radius of the property. With good access to both the A30 and the A303, there is something to suit everyone within a 30 minutes drive. Further afield you have the towns and cities of Bath, Bristol, Taunton, Exeter, Sailsbury, Poole and Bournemouth, the Dorset and Somerset coasts and The New Forest. Enjoy lovely countryside walks including a stroll to the Stapleton Arms public house with its award winning food and ales. Leisure facilities: spend your time relaxing in the private hot tub in the walled rose arch garden adjacent to the cottage. Farm activities: meet and greet the pets and farm animals, you may be able to bottle feed a lamb during the months of April to June and see the delightful chickens, chicks and ducklings. Free range eggs are available to purchase on site.

The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms with TV's: 1 king-size and 1 twin bedroom. Bathroom: downstairs with shower, bath and WC. Separate WC upstairs. Lounge/diner: with sofa bed, TV, DVD, video and patio doors leading into the garden. Kitchen: with cooker, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washing machine. Outside: enclosed cottage garden with summer house, BBQ and garden furniture. Use of shared hot tub with the owners, however privacy is assured. Amenities: off-road parking to the front of the property. Bed linen, towels, electric, wi-fi and central heating included. 2 well-behaved dogs welcome but must not be left unattended in the property at any time. Regret no smoking allowed in the property. Additional info: please note babies and children under 6 years old are not allowed in the hot tub and children over 6 years old should be supervised at all times for safety. Hot tub available from sunrise to sunset. Location: swimming pool and leisure centre 3 miles, shops 3 miles, pub within walking distance 1 mile. Beach 1 hour drive.
