About this location
The Cornwall region
Why visit the North Coast of Cornwall?
The Atlantic coast of North Cornwall stretches for over forty miles from Bude to Perranporth along a wildly beautiful landscape where towns and villages huddle in the cliffs for protection against the sea.
A renowned hub for thrill seekers who get active in and out of the water, the mile wide bays are popular with the nation's surfers and families alike and the area magically combines the hip and trendy with absolutely stunning natural scenery.
Cliff top walks
The Camel Trail
Places to visit include:
Boscastle; Bude; Camelford; Crackington Haven; Delabole; Mawgan Porth; Newquay; Padstow; Polzeath; Port Isaac; Perranporth; Rock; St. Agnes; Tintagel; Wadebridge; Watergate Bay;
Visit Bude on the north of Cornwall for a holiday that has something for everyone. As it sits on the Devon border, it is the first place you will reach when travelling to this beautiful county.
Bude was the number one sunniest place in the UK during 2013, making it an excellent choice for a holiday destination. The area has a laid-back charm that has not been spoiled by brash development and is traditional in a cherished way.
With a diverse range of indoor and outdoor activities available, from sports centres, soft play and historic houses to fishing, surfing and other water sports, cycling and golf - there is something for everyone.
There are plenty of beautiful beaches, spectacular views and unique natural attractions – which include a sea pool and access to the South West Coast Path.
Bude is large enough to provide a good range of facilities with a choice of accommodation, shops, restaurants and sports facilities, yet is small enough to have avoided the chain hotels, eating houses and bars. The nightlife is also quiet and relaxed.
