Situated on a quiet country lane in the glorious Dartmoor National Park, this detached Coach House is just 1 1/4 miles from the picturesque village of Widecombe in the Moor.
It is an ideal base for families or large groups who wish to experience the English countryside as it should be.
The Dartmoor National Park is an unspolit part of Devon and visitors may spend their days wandering over the moors, amongst the wild ponies, sheep and cattle who wander freely (sometimes into our garden!). Climbing Tors, swimming in the crystal clear rivers, picnics in the woods, or sitting in the local hostelries. Newly born foals can be seen from April onwards, across the moors, and sometimes will bask on the village green in the morning sunshine. In May the moor is covered in Bluebells and the scent is glorious. From Wild Primroses in the spring, through to Honeysuckle growng in the hedgerows - Buzard's flying overhead this is nature at it's best.
And we are just forty minutes away from our favourite beaches of banbury and Bigbury on Sea (Surfing).
Exeter and Plymouth are equal distance from the cottage. There is so much to see and do, guests return over and over again - whether wanting action, or get away from it holiday.
The property is very well maintained and as it is used by our family is very well equipped.
Three wood burning stoves, three terraces for alfresco dining, large kitchen, dining room and sitting room. Additional snug.
