You could not be closer to the beach and at night you will sleep to the gentle sound of waves lapping on the beach. The Property is situated between the Neptune Pub and the Oyster Company restaurant on the main beach at Whitstable. There is a set of steps right by the front door that gives access to the beach.

The property has 2 bedrooms downstairs, one a King bed with plenty of wardrobe space, the second is a smaller twin room with a wardrobe. There is also a full family bathroom with toilet and a separate toilet downstairs as well.

Upstairs is a large open plan living area with a connecting door to a good size kitchen. Large french doors open out off the living room to a balcony which faces the sea. There is also a small patio area in front of the house with sea views.

The Kent region

Kent is known as the "garden of england" with many orchards, gardens and open space. It also is rich in history with historic churches and cathedrals at Canterbury and Rochester, castles and forts as well as many seaside towns with beaches and interesting shops.

The region has excellent access to London and to France as well.

Whitstable

Whitstable is known as the "pearl of kent" , it is known worldwide for oysters which you can occasionally see being harvested from the property. Whitstable has a growing reputation for excellent food with many michelin rated restaurants and pubs, as well as plenty of local independent food shops for making your own dinner in our fully equipped kitchen.

Whitstable has regular festivals and markets, a long promenade to walk right by the sea for many miles along with safe beaches for relaxing or swimming in the summer.

There are regular buses to local towns including the City of Canterbury with its historic Cathedral and excellent shopping.

All in all Whitstable makes a great place to relax.

"Our second visit this year - would go again tomorrow"

We stayed at Sea Sunset Cottage in late March and really enjoyed our stay, and we were lucky enough to get another booking for mid-July. The weather was (very nearly) perfect and watching the sun set over the Isle of Sheppey from the upstairs living room / balcony memorable. The cottage is in an ideal location, very comfortable and very happy to recommend it. (Our fifth holiday in Whitstable in recent years and if / when we return, this would be our first choice.)

"Lovely house right by the sea"

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely beach house. It is only a five minute walk to the town center and the nice restaurants there and on the beach. We can realy recommend this one! Plenty of room for the three of us.

"Perfect location"

Lovely house. Everything there for your convenience. First visit to Whitstable and would recommend . Only downside for us was that we couldn't get in before 4pm and had to be out by 9.30am, which meant we lost a day.

Thankyou so much for staying with us, you are right the house is in a perfect location right on the beachfront. I know people want to get in quickly and - of course - don't want to leave but I do need a window to keep the house spotless for the next guest. Its our first year of letting and as we get more proficient we will see what we can do on the checkin and checkout times. Thanks again.

"Comfortable house in fantastic location."

We had a great week in Sea Sunset Cottage. House was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the location by the beach, but within a short walk of the town centre, was fantastic. Favourite times of day were early morning and evening, the sunsets were amazing! And the best sea bass ever from the fish market. Enjoyed trips to Canterbury and the Turner Contemporary Gallery at Margate, but above all relaxing by the sea from the comfort of our armchairs.

Whitstable makes a great base to explore Kent easily, even without a car there are loads of buses to Canterbury and as you say the Turner at Margate is a short train ride. Thanks for staying.

"Really lovely house in fabulous location"

The house is beautiful. Everything is clean and well laid out. The balcony affords beautiful views of the sea - and the fabulous sunsets. The house is ideally situated since it is both right on the beach and only two minutes from all the lovely shops and restaurants in Whitstable. I came by train and so was without a car while i was there but that was not a difficulty at all. Everything was in easy reach and it was only a short bus journey to Canterbury. I saw other rental properties when I was there (and I looked at loads online), but although some of those properties looked very attractive, none of them were as well, or as attractively situated.

Thanks for staying, you are right there are plenty of houses to rent in Whitstable but none like ours right on the beach with a glorious balcony - thanks so much for choosing us.

"Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location"

My wife, baby and I spent a week in June at this beautiful cottage. We had a lovely time and certainly intend to come back as soon as we can. The location is superb - right by the sea front and very convenient for amenities - and the cottage itself is very comfortable and beautiful presented.

Thanks for staying at our little cottage by the sea. We want people to have a marvellous time right on the beach yet close to all the amenities of one of the best unspoiled towns in Kent.

"Pleasant, clean, airy cottage right on the beach."

This cottage is in a fantastic location, right on the beach and very close to the centre of town for all amenities. It is light, airy and spotlessly clean, and the upstairs living area means that, although people are right outside your door there is no sense of intrusion. Only slight down side was that the garage does not fit our family saloon, so you have to punt around for on-road parking. However, we would certainly come back again and the owner was friendly and obliging in all communications.

Thanks so much for staying at our little cottage by the sea, we think its really special to be able to sleep to the sound of the waves and wake up to that view !

"Very comfortable, fresh and well equipped, excellent location"

This newly refurbished cottage has been modernised to a very high standard, freshly decorated when we stayed (last weekend in March 2015) and very well equipped. Location couldn't be better, right next to the beach and a very short walk to the Old Neptune, and less than five minutes walk to the harbour, and to the shops and restaurants in Whitstable. Would recommmend to friends and would certainly stay here again.

Thanks for your review and generous feedback, we look forward to you returning.

"Lovely cottage, fantastic location!"

We just got back from spending three nights at this lovely little cottage. The house is very well equipped with all the mod cons one has at home and is very accommodating. The location could not be better - you could literally throw a stone off the balcony and you'd hit the beach. Lots of info is provided to make the stay both in the cottage and surrounding town of Whitstable a delight. Would return again, hopefully when the weather was a bit warmer to enjoy a glass of vino on the balcony and the great views, especially at sunset!.

Thanks for staying at our little cottage by the sea, glad you had a great time.

"A trip to remember."

Loved sunset cottage. We wanted to get away with our 16month old and the cottage was perfect for us! It was warm & cosy with all mod cons. Breakfast in the morning with the balcony doors open overlooking sea was breathtaking. You couldn t get any closer to the sea. Overall a very memorable stay in perfect accommodation.

Thankyou for describing your stay at Sea Sunset Cottage, I am so pleased you enjoyed the balcony and the perfect location right on the beach. I hope we can welcome you back again soon.
