'The Bubble' (as in Whitstabubble in case you're wondering), is the perfect holiday home. There isn't a comparable holiday house on the Whitstable market. This is simply the best! No other property has such a great combination of location and amenities.
It is situated by the beach next to the sea wall, a gate from the garden opens on to the beach. The house is a minute walk from the town centre, with it's shops, restaurants and art galleries. It also boasts a private side garden, which lets light flood into the house all day and is great for al fresco eating. It also has the biggest roof terrace of any Whitstable beach-side property, which offers fantastic sea views. It's also great for watching the sun go down, preferably while sipping something chilled.
The house has three bedrooms, one double and two twins, and sleeps six ( there is also a sofa bed which could take another person by arrangement ) The house benefits from two bathrooms, one on each floor, the downstairs being a wet room style, great for coming off the beach straight into a shower.
The house was rebuilt recently, to a very high spec, including solid oak floors throughout, oak doors, granite worktops, American style fridge etc etc . It has three sets of patio doors, (two patios and one roof terrace). It meets modern sound and insulation standards, and has new wiring and plumbing. All windows and doors are new and double glazed, so are cosy in winter.
The Bubble is one of the houses on Dollar Row, paid for by silver dollars salvaged by Whitstable divers. The diving helmet was developed in Whitstable in the 1820's.
The house is 500 yards from a golf course.

Hope the review is helpful for you ( see trip advisor) , there was so much more we could have said because the house is very well equipped and elegantly decorated, the kitchen is a joy to cook in, it had everything we needed. Plus the location is beautiful and peaceful. We had a great holiday and the perfect chance to get to know it's newest member baby Erin.
Martin- it's a beautiful house, very comfortable & we absolutely love it. ( taken from a text)

Fabulous house in a wonderful location. We have had a fantastic, relaxed week. Love the sea views from the terrace, Wow!

Sue says ' exactly what it says on the tin'
Lovely house , beautiful balcony and views, everything you could need.
We really enjoyed our spell here, in a magical house in magical surroundings. Excellently equipped, beautifully located , highly recommended.
We've had a lovely week in The Bubble. The house is beautiful and the views from the deck are fantastic. The welcome pack was much appreciated. We will be happy to recommend the house to friends.
The only suggestion we would make is that it would be helpful to have a sponge to clean the bath and a washing-up brush in the kitchen.
A very beautiful house. Everything is beautifully done, detailed finishes, well stocked and planned to perfection. We spent our honeymoon here ( thank you for the kind and lovely extra touches! ) and can honestly say we've never spent a better holiday –not because least because of the details ( sharp knifes, a range of pans , etc etc )! But of course the house and its location are just exquisite.
We had a lovely holiday - the house was perfect - really well equipped, very comfortable and a superb location. The swimming was great and we were lucky with the weather. Pops wanted sea air and he had plenty! Thank you for the welcome pack.
I hope we are able to fit in another visit sometime although I imagine you will be inundated with bookings as word spreads.
What a fantastic place! Have really enjoyed our Holiday. Thank You !

The kitchen is well equiped with designer pans, a machine for making espresso coffees, bone china designer coffee cups, dualit toaster and kettle, huge paella dish, blender, toasted sandwich maker, ice machine and instant chilled water. TV and DVD to keep the kids quiet while you cook.
The bathrooms have Villeroy and Boch sanitary ware, the pans are soft close, every wall is finished top to bottom in designer tiles. Both bathrooms have natural light.
The master bedroom has 400 thread Egyptian cotton linen and feather pillows.
The lounge has a iphone/ipod docking station.
Location of the house is excellent for children, as access to the beach is direct from the garden. However the house has very steep stairs, and has no child locks on cupboards etc. ie this house is not particularly toddler friendly.
The house is suitable for people with restricted mobility in that there are two bedrooms and a toilet and shower on the ground floor. However each bedroom has one step to access.
I would consider a dog, subject to application. The garden is fenced and gated so will keep most dogs in.
The Kent region
Kent is a county in South East England, and one of the home counties. It borders East Sussex, Surrey and Greater London and has a defined boundary with Essex in the middle of the Thames Estuary. The ceremonial county boundaries of Kent include the shire county of Kent and the unitary borough of Medway.
The historic county of Kent has something which will appeal to everyone. It is steeped in history and known world wide as the 'Garden of England' due to the wealth of hop gardens and orchards in the area.
There are numerous water-sport activities on offer and the beautiful coastline has an array of award winning beaches.
Places of interest and attractions to visit include animal parks, castles, cathedrals, churches, historic houses, maritime heritage, museums, steam trains and much, much more.
Whitstable is a charming seaside town. It gets its character from the fact that it has a working harbour and is a proper town. It doesn't have a sandy beach or amusement arcades. It does have some great restaurants and pubs.
There is trendy shopping on Harbour street, with its chi chi shops and art galleries. Then there is the High Street for the things you do need. Some of the shops seemingly haven't changed since the fifties.
You can buy some nice fish at the Harbour, and of course whitstable is famous for its Oysters.
There are lots of nooks and crannies to explore including the famous smugglers alleyways. No visit to Whitstable is complete without going down Squeeze Gut Alley.
There is a lively music scene in Whitstable, and various festivals throughout the year, including the famous Oyster Festival.

"Perfect house in a perfect location!"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Bubble! It's a great house, very spacious and wonderfully kitted out with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Whitstable. We were concerned about rain given the recent wet weather but the rain gods were kind to us and we had nothing but dry and mostly sunny days. The roof terrace is amazing with great views out to the sea and we even felt warm sitting in the occasional sunshine. It was also lovely having the cottage garden to look out on while eating in the dining room or cooking in the kitchen. We only wished it was warmer so we could have spent more time out there! Thank you to Jo for the introductory tour - it was very helpful having someone meet us upon arrival to show us around the house and give us tips for our stay. Finally thank you to Martin for the welcome hamper and for providing us with a great couple of nights stay in Whitstable. We'll definitely be returning again on our next trip to the seaside!

The Bubble at Whitstable is tastefully decorated in a contemporary stye, and is wonderfully well-equipped. The location is just perfect and the upstairs deck is a fabulous location to sit and watch the sunset. You are practically 'on' the beach, but it is still wonderfully private. The sunset - even in mid-October - was astonishing. We liked the place so much we hurried back to sit, relax and toast the sunset. There were only four of us, but even with six this would not feel crowded. Loved the place. We'll be back! Oh, and you must visit the Old Neptune pub and the Whitstable Oyster Restaurant where we had a fantastic fish meal - if you don't like fish and shellfish, don't go! Highly recommended.

"Cosy family luxury"
My family and I stayed here for a beautiful weekend in September. The design of the house is fantastic, a great use of space that makes the 3 bedroom house more than comfortable for three adult couples. the kitchen is beautiful and the outdoor decking has the most amazing views (if only the sun had shone!) We also brought my 11mth old, very active, niece, and although the house doesn't have stair gates etc, it is definitely a safe haven for the little one with a door at the top of the stairs closing off the lounge area. Can't wait to return!

"Amazing property with amazing views!!!"
If you would like a relaxing trip away in a modern house RIGHT by the sea.. look no further than the bubble :) it is fully equipped with everything you would need down to the complimentary box of goodies on arrival! It is literally a stones throw away from the beach, all you have to do is walk through the garden and there you are! :) cannot fault the property or the location and area! 5 stars!!

"Fantastic accomodation, fabulous views, wonderful location"
We stayed here over the last weekend and had an amazing time. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities you could ask for. Plus the location is not to be beaten. If you love the sea, you will adore this house. You can smell it, breathe it and taste it! We will return, too good not to be shared. Helen

"Fresh modern house with lovely sea view!"
I stayed at the Bubble with my wife and three children. We all loved it. It was wonderful to look out over the sea, especially first thing in the morning and in the evening. The property is finished to a high standard and is decorated in a modern, minimalist style. The house is well equipped, including all mod. cons. We went in the autumn and the house was easy to keep warm. The only downside is that the house has no allocated/designated parking and fronts onto a street with parking restrictions. We had to park a couple of streets away. It would have been helpful if this had been mentioned in the listing.

"Don't miss a stay in The Bubble,a delightful house in a marvellous position, minutes from downtown Whitstable."
The frontage belies the superb house behind it, sleeping six, with upstairs bathroom and downstairs wetroom you might be in a Mayfair hotel until you progress from the upstairstairs sitting room to the superlatively furnished balcony with glorioius views over the sea. Equipped with an ultra modern kitchen and outdoor furniture to have your BBQ in comfort, you have the best of town and seaside~a few minutes to the shops, and the numerous restaurants catering for every taste, and a step from the pretty garden to the beach. The house is equipped with everything imaginable, even lovely photographs and a good selection of books and games. It's easily cleaned and the owner was very helpful and anxious to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Get it if you can!

"We'd like to keep this place a secret just for us!"
This is a lovely comfortable house and garden, with lots of room for six adults, and in our case one baby. The rooms are large, light and airy. The sun terrace is amazing with fantastic sea views. We took a telescope and it was great for investigating the night sky (not too much light pollution)! The sea is a few steps away, very clean and bracing but well worth the initial cold shock. Whitstable town and shops are a few minutes walk for provisions but also a lot of interesting and diverse small shops well worth browsing. We had a lovely family holiday in a part of England we had not visited before and now are hoping to return to soon.
