A beautiful terraced fisherman's cottage situated in the historic coastal town of Whitstable. Within walking distance of the beach and harbour, shops, restaurants and pubs. Whitstable is renowned for the multitude of alleys that also used to serve as convenient escape routes for smugglers. The look of the beaches is very traditionally English, with wooden groynes separating out the pebbly beaches. It's perfect for picturesque walks by the sea even in the winter. There are art galleries, antique shops and fine restaurants for good old fashioned fish and chips and much more.

During the Christmas period we are closed for a short period as we are undergoing some improvements to our holiday cottage. We are extending the kitchen into the dining room to create a large kitchen diner which leads onto new bi folding doors to the garden. We think this will make the space an even greater place to stay.

The South East England region

"Welcome to Kent, Garden of England

Kent is steeped in history and heritage and is also rightly renowned throughout the world as the Garden of England. Our extensive coastline boasts an enviable array of blue flag award winning beaches and thrilling watersports activities."

"If Whitstable has one foot in the past, then the other is firmly in the contemporary. Take a look along Harbour Street and you will find modern art galleries, trendy designer clothing, gift and housewares outlets as well as a full selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants.

From the shingle beach you can enjoy some stunning views over the sea – perhaps while supping a pint at the Old Neptune pub, one of few in the country actually on the water’s edge.

A stroll around the harbour will bring you the delights of fresh caught seafood on sale to take home or to be enjoyed in the specialist restaurants nearby. Every July the oyster is celebrated with a week long festival. The town has a rich maritime history and is known the world over for its Native Oysters.

The town’s maritime achievements can be explored in the museum in Oxford Street. It also recounts Whitstable’s part in the world’s first passenger carrying railway line to Canterbury."
