The renowned National Trust property, Sissinghurst can easily be visited and offers the visitor the chance to see one of the most famous and beautiful gardens in England. The town has plenty to offer foodies with its farmers market, fish mongers, butchers, bakers and fruit and veg shops. These numerous independent shops are all within easy walking distance of each other.
The much lauded 'Sportsman' restaurant (Michelin starred) is a short taxi-ride away in neighbouring Seasalter. Canterbury with it's spectacular cathedral is 7 miles away - there is a bike route from Whitstable to Canterbury and bikes can easily be hired in Whitstable.
