The renowned National Trust property, Sissinghurst can easily be visited and offers the visitor the chance to see one of the most famous and beautiful gardens in England. Whitstable has become firmly established as a weekend retreat with its thriving restaurants, bars, cafes and independent boutique shops whilst retaining it's authenticity through it's working harbour, renowned oysters and the annual Whitsable Oyster Festival.
Situated right beside the sea, Whitstable boasts spectacular sunsets and miles of beaches with their distinctive beach-huts and breakwaters. The town has plenty to offer foodies with its farmers market, fish mongers, butchers, bakers and fruit and veg shops. These numerous independent shops are all within easy walking distance of each other.
The much lauded 'Sportsman' restaurant (Michelin starred) is a short taxi-ride away in neighbouring Seasalter. Canterbury with it's spectacular cathedral is 7 miles away - there is a bike route from Whitstable to Canterbury and bikes can easily be hired in Whitstable.
