A fabulous, spacious haven - ideal for a families/larger groups - in the charming coastal town of Whitstable, Kent.

The view from the end of the garden is second to none overlooking the expanse of Whitstable Bay and sunsets over Sheppy to the West. Sea views can be enjoyed from the ground floor as well as panoramic views of the bay from the first floor bedrooms and garden.

The outside space is large enough for several different simultaneous uses. The huge garden boasts a large lawn area suitable for ball games, a climbing frame with slide and swings - plenty to keep children entertained for hours! A small wildlife pond and picnic area separates the lawn area from the tranquil games and seating area at the end of the garden, which is an idyllic spot to take in the sunset, play boules while waiting for the BBQ or relax while sipping something chilled under the shade of the apple tree. The large patio area is ideal for al fresco dining or afternoon tea.

This spacious, contemporary style house is one of the largest holiday lettings in Whitstable. No hidden extra costs - WIFI, high chair and cot are all free of charge as is a welcome pack of goodies left out for you on arrival.

It has plenty of storage throughout and offers:

A spacious, fully equipped kitchen boasts high spec appliances, dishwasher, ample crockery and cooking equipment. Its dining table located at the other end of the room makes a delightful social/dining area. Seating includes two Tripp Trapp chairs. (High chair available at no extra cost).

Four bedrooms: the newly refurbished main bedroom has an attractive bay window with a door opening to the balcony and views overlooking the bay, a kingsize bed and spacious floor to ceiling double wardrobes.

There are two good size twin rooms, one with two single beds, the other has a Stompa bunk bed ( the upper one is a full size single bed with access by a ladder, the lower pull out bed is suitable for children only) and door opening on to the balcony.

The ground floor double bedroom is close to the ground floor shower room and WC, ideal for those who find stairs difficult.

Two beautifully styled bathrooms: The ground floor one with shower/WC is fully tiled with natural slate flooring.The first floor bathroom is fully tiled with Amtica mock glass flooring, bath and separate large, luxury shower /WC and laundry facilities.

Two separate living room/ social areas :

(i) the 'snug' type lounge with sofas, CD player, sound dock,TV with free SKY plus (includes movie channel) log burner.

(ii) the large, elegant conservatory looking out to the garden and sea view combines a dining area for up to 8 people with doors opening onto the garden and a sitting area for after dinner chill and chat on the sofas or daytime reading /lounging. It is a large, flexible space where groups can be together yet doing their own thing!

The spacious entrance hall allows for easy storage of buggies, buckets and spades etc. and a stair gate is available.No hidden extras - WIFI, high chair and cot are all free of charge.

The local pub with delicious food and good selection of wines and beers is 3 minutes walk away. It has stunning views overlooking the bay and a children's play area, an ideal family spot.

Well stocked local shop is 5 mins by car, large supermarket 10 mins by car.

There is off road parking for up to 3 cars.

Running along the bottom of the garden is the Saxon Shore pathway leading to the Prospect Field conservation area for delightful nearby walks , open spaces and stunning sea views.

For a peaceful environment, away from the hustle and bustle of the busy town, this comfortable, spacious house and its spectacular views and surroundings has virtually all you need to relax in and while away the hours while also keeping children occupied! You don't have to stay put but you may feel you want to for much of your stay! If you want to explore it has easy access to local amenities.

Whitstable town centre - with its unique shops and renowned restaurants is a short car trip or a pleasant 20 minute walk away along the seafront. It boasts numerous eateries, a superb ice cream shop and several spots for those who enjoy crabbing!

The nearest beach from the house is only 5 minutes walk away and is perfect for picnics, paddling and walking on the open expanses of the Seasalter beach edged by traditional beach huts and fabulous beach houses.

West Beach with swimming, tennis courts, public toilets and the fabulous Windy Corner cafe is 15 mins walk away or a short car ride.

The local golf course (9 holes) runs close to the bottom of the garden so be sure to pack your clubs if you play!

Buses to the historic city of Canterbury go regularly from the end of the road. Margate with its glorious sandy beach, Turner Contemporary Gallery and chic Old Town are a 15 mins train ride away.

The South East England region

It's a cliche but Kent is known as the 'Garden of England' for good reason! There are beautiful woods, hop gardens, orchards, rolling hills, farms, picnicking and wildlife areas, scenic drives, cycling routes and designated walks throughout the county.

Not to mention the county's impressive coastline with its many award-winning beaches and its striking chalky cliffs, its 'infinite variety' appealing to those seeking golden sands and amenities such as Margate and Broadstairs or those who opt for natural bays with rock pools and cliff faces as well as those after the more remote and stark beauty of areas such as Dungeness, made known by Derek Jarman.

Kent has an abundance of places of interest and heritage sites. It has castles galore, animal parks, museums that commemorate its maritime and literary heritages, a plethora of historic houses, steam train rides, woodland climbing courses. Canterbury with its incredible cathedral and medieval architecture, and river trip is a must.

France is easily accessible from Dover and Folkestone for an exciting day trip.

Whitstable

Aka 'the Bubble', Whitstable is famed for its oysters and has one of the few remaining working harbours complete with a small fleet fishing boats and fish market.

With its authentic town centre and proximity to Canterbury, London and France and to the fabulous golden beaches of Margate and Broadstairs, it is a much loved place to live in as well as to visit. It avoids being a 'resort' yet has much to offer visitors...

The town centre has an impressive selection of everyday as well as unique, independent shops; art galleries; numerous cafes, eateries and renowned restaurants . Many pubs and venues have live music and comedy nights and there are many delightful places simply to drink and chat in on the beach front, in the town centre and on the outskirts of town.

Strolling around the town and seafront areas reveals a captivating range of architecture, from traditional fisherman's cottages, beach houses, arts and crafts to uber stylish contemporary dwellings.

The beach huts that typify the English coast are much in evidence from the Seasalter to the Tankerton ends of Whitstable,with often quirky and individual decorative schemes. Alongside the 'groynes', or breakwaters, and pebbly beach, the striking beauty of the Kentish coast is at its best here.

Nearby Margate with its glorious sandy beach, Turner Contemporary Gallery and chic Old Town is a 20 mins train ride away (little point to drive when the station is 1 minute walk from the beach!) Slightly further afield, the Victorian resort and one time base of Charles Dickens, Broadstairs offers several fabulous sandy beaches and a great day out.

Scenic walks / bike rides to Reculver and Minnis Bay are easily accessible on the Saxon Shore Way.

Golf, tennis, water sports, children's soft play area, bowling alley and an indoor swimming pool are all available locally as well as the traditional seaside past time of crabbing.
