About the home

The property includes 1 x double room, en-suite and 2 x twin bedded rooms and a large family bathroom with overhead shower. Large lounge with flat screen T.V. and freeview, fully equipped kitchen all linen and towels provided The lodge is decked 3/4 way around and boasts an outdoor sunken hot tub and fantastic views. In order to avoid translation issues there is a tumble dryer on site but not in the lodge.

There is a shared indoor swimming pool, a gym, sauna and small bar and shop.The local beach Whitsand Bay is two minutes away, then down a steep path, well worth the walk.Surfing lessons can be arranged from here.

I also rent our other 2 and 3 and 4 bedroom lodge sleeping between 4 and 8, please do ask for more information and rates.

The West Country / Cornwall region

Cornwall enjoys a much milder climate than most of England, and is therefore a great year round holiday destination.

The best surfing in the country will be found in towns such as Newquay, Bude and Whitsand Bay is not bad (with its own surfing school). With many miles of National Trust coast line the walking is rugged and worthwhile.

Looe
Brilliant family day out in this fishing village, ( 1/2 hour dive from Whitsand Bay ) Lots to do in the wet as well as dry.

Plymouth
Only 5 miles away, the Barbican is a great place to eat and drink,and has lots of galleries and craft shops. National Marine Aquarium (good for rainy days). In the town centre there is a new indoor shopping centre (Drakes Circus). Devonport Dockyard offers trips around the dockyard showing lots of submarines, and various war ships.

The Whitsand Bay area

Whitsand Bay is part of The Rame Peninsular, and is often called Cornwall's Forgotten Corner. Bordered on three sides by water, the rivers Lynher, Tamar and Plymouth Sound, you will find it a haven of peace. The coastal path takes you to the edge of the sea and cliffs past Penlee Point and Rame Head with its 11th century monks' chapel and stunning views of Whitsand Bay and its beaches.

The villages of Rame, Kingsand, Cawsand are old fishing villages and inland Millbrook, St. John, Sheviock, and St. Germans are all worth a visit as is Anthony House, the great Cornish family of Carew-Pole, near to the largest town Torpoint.
