Superb accommodation and views... so the weather didn't matter!”

5 out of 5

Our stay was during the Queen's Jubilee week and we endured storms and the worst June weather imaginable, this didn't matter a jot because we had amazing views from the comfort of the lodge. We got down to the nearby beach every day which is beautiful in any weather - a long way down though and you have to be careful with the tide. Our black labrador loved his walkies on the vast sands and rock pools. The bus ride to Plymouth is reliable and you get to go on the Torpoint ferry which makes it a bit more of an adventure. I never moved my car for the whole week, having arranged an internet shop with ASDA beforehand - all of the main supermarkets deliver to this site. Several years ago, we got tired of the main holiday parks sticking us in the dingiest accommodation because we have a dog. We have never looked back since we started booking private because you get to stay in top class accommodation such as this. I would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation - we were especially impressed that after a long journey we had scones, jam, clotted cream and tea for all on arrival - even the dog was left a pack of chews! Very thoughtful of the owners. Have a great time here - we did! P. Wren

Hi Malcolm,

Just wanted to say your lodge is beautiful, it was spotlessly clean and we are all very impressed. The scones and cream tea were delicious and such a lovely touch. We are going to enjoy every minute.

Thanks again

Hi Malcolm

Due to personal reasons i could not travel to, Whitsand with my daughter and her family she has asked me to tell you how much they enjoyed staying at no.25, the lodge was ideal made the day just, so well equiped, spacious and spotless clean, Dawn was very helpful and friendly they said "it was like being greeted by a friend" and the cream tea which awaited them made the day just perfect. The site was very clean and well run. We recomend the lodge to any of our friends who was traveling to that area.

Kind Regards to you and Jane,

Eileen

Hello Malcolm,

Just a short e-mail to thank you for the let on your lodge, it was everything that you said it was and more - we have all had a fantastic week. Thanks also for helping to sort out internet access - it kept one 15 year old (and his dad) from going insane.

All in all, a fantastic week and we are all looking forward to having the opportunity to book again at some point in the future.

All the very best,

Regards

Daryll

"Excellent holiday in a lovely area"

The lodge was very well equipped and exceeded our expectations. The views over Plymouth from the decking were fantastic. We had a few good nights sitting out there with a glass of wine. The facilities on site were very good - the children loved the pool and the food at the bar was reasonably priced and excellent quality.
We had lots of walks down to the beach. It is lovely when the tide is out but the climb back up the cliffs is hard work!
We will definitely be back.

Hello Mrs Tweedie,

"Luxury lodge with superb view of Plymouth"

Enjoyed a lovely week in the lodge which was clean and modern. The lodge is well equipped with everything you need and has lovely views overlooking Plymouth. We were met on arrival and also welcomed with a lovely cream tea.

Parking is not available next to the lodge but on the main car park a few minutes walk away which was not really a problem as you have a designated space.

Hello,

thank you, we really appreciate your comments
look forward to welcoming you back soon.

"First class accommodation, large, well stocked, clean and exactly as desribed by the owner"

Great site - clean, well maintained, good facilities (including a swimming pool) and the (free) Sunday tour of the English Heritage Napoleonic history of the site is worth doing.
Property itself is fantastic - large and well maintained with fantastic views , outside decking area in nice weather with an indoor view across the Tamar into Plymouth Hoe

Steep walk down to the local beach would be difficult for some but more accessible beaches are within an easy drive.

All in all I would recommend this property and intend to visit it again

"Beautiful chalet in Whitsand Bay"

Beautiful and spacious chalet with spectacular views over Plymouth and surrounding country side. Bodmin and Dartmoor are both visible in the distance. The holiday park was peaceful despite peak season and it in itself a fascinating place to explore given its history. The Vaults bar and restaurant is worth a visit if only to look up at the craftsmanship of the brickwork that forms the ceilings. Delightful seaside villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are only a short drive away but the beaches adjacent to the Holiday Park are only a walk down the cliff path. The chalet was warm and comfortable and had everything necesary for a family holiday. Would highly recommend whether just wishing to visit Plymouth or East Cornwall, walk the coast path or enjoy the seaside.

Thank you so much for your recent review of our Lodge at Whitsand Bay, hopefully you will decide to stay in one of our Lodges in the future.
