Whitford

Situated in stunning walking country near the Clwydian Hills, the lovely village of Whitford offers a wide range of activities. With a number of golf courses - including Pennant Park, which boasts a magnificent club-house and far reaching views over the River Dee, this area is very popular amongst fans of the sport. Further down the coast, visitors can enjoy a trip to Winefride's Well, one of the Seven Wonders of Wales situated in nearby Holywell, in addition to the remains of the 12th Century Basingwerk Abbey. Just a 10 minute drive away are numerous sandy beaches whilst the area is of particular interest to wildlife enthusiasts due to the dunes of nearby Talacre beach - an RSPB recommended watch area. Also within driving distance is the bustling market town of Mold, full of picturesque buildings, shops, pubs and a nationally renowned theatre.
