Northern England region

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

With its narrow cobbled streets and quaint cottages, Robin Hood's Bay is one of the most picturesque villages on the English coastline. Set between the popular resorts of Scarborough and Whitby and nestling at the edge of a wide, sweeping bay, this charming old fishing village is backed by spectacular cliffs and dramatic moorland. The beach and its cliff top walks are bound to appeal to all visitors, whilst more serious walkers can enjoy the nearby long distance trails such as the Cleveland Way, the Lyke Wake Walk and the Coast to Coast walks – all of which pass through the village. The town itself offers a wide range of amenities and number of charming alleyways to explore, as well as the usual pubs, restaurants and cafes.
