About the home

Lovingly renovated whole middle floor apartment situated in the picturesque village of Sandsend. Opposing the popular sandy beach and the mouth of the Esk Beck, which is decorated and furnished to a very high standard with a home from home approach offering superb panoramic sea views from virtually all windows.

Upon entering the deluxe apartment you will find a large spacious hallway with doors leading to all three bedrooms, bathroom and Kitchen.

The lounge is a sizeable comfortable room boasting a 5 metre long external window over looking the beach, cliffs, waves and beyond out to sea.

Bedroom 1 consists of a luxurious Super King bed and offers Sea Views from every window.
Bedroom 2 has a relaxing double bed with en-suite bathroom and Sea views from every window
Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds with the opportunity of a third by using the pull out bed to make 1 double bed or 3 singles and also sea views.

The family bathroom consists of bath, over head power shower, toilet and wash basin with central heating radiator.

The Kitchen is a very well equipped home from home, spacious light and airy kitchen/dining area, which has every thing you may need for your culinary skills.

What more could you ask for than spending your holiday on a beach, walking the stunning coastal walks to Runswick Bay and beyond on the very popular Cleveland way, trek into the never ending Mulgrave Woods to spot ample wildlife from Owls to Deer, or you could just sit and relax in the living room looking out of the five metre long window to the beach and beyond out to sea, you actually feel you are sat on the beach.

On the other hand you have Whitby, Buzzing with shops, tea/ coffee shops, restaurants and bars. there is enough activities and places of interest/history to last a month.

“great veiws great location excellent accomadation” all you need for a great holiday aveiw to die for . flat has everything you need nicely done but also homley my sons and there girlfreinds went with us for two days they loved it didnt want to go home . i think the location is ideal for young and old alike peaceful or livley your choice right next to the beach pub two doors down what more could u want

“Brilliant apartment, well maintained with thoughtful touches, ideal for family or friends getaway.” I have stayed in this apartment twice now. It is clean and tidy with nicely finished rooms. Ideal spot with stunning sea views, parking outside and easy reach of Whitby. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need. Beds are large and comfortable and bathroom has a good shower, large bath and is very clean. Recommended for families(I took my grandson) and friends - great for a trip away together.

“Highly Recommended !! Fantastic Apartment, Excellent Location.” We have previously stayed at Driftwood Apartment and were eager to return this year. The homely apartment is great for adults and children alike (our two are 5 and 22 months) and is so very well equipped with lots of extra touches that really add to the stay. The toys, games, dvds & books were greatly appreciated by the boys too. The beach is lovely & so close. We went down every day and we even found some fossils!! Great location for day trips out too; we visited Whitby, Scarborough and Filey. Have already booked for next year!

“Fabulous apartment, with excellent location and amazing sea views” Driftwood apartment is lovely. Well decorated and furnished with lovely homely touches, and very well equipped with everything you need. It is also extremely clean, with lots of lovely towels and bed linen. The location is superb, with sea views from every room, and very close to the pub, restaurants and cafes. The 2 parking spaces are a real bonus. Myself, my husband, my parents, and our 92 year old grandfather all loved it, and would happily recommend it to others.

“Brilliant apartment, perfect for a family holiday and very good value.” We know Sandsend quite well and I would say that this apartment has a premier location regarding the beach, pub, cafes,shops etc and the sea views from every room are wonderful. Six of us,varying in age from 69 to 6yrs, found the apartment to be spacious, very comfortable and amazingly well equipped (small touches, like the basket of binoculars for observing shipping activity, were very appreciated, as was the bottle of wine and the chocs!) Compared to previous stays in Sandsend when parking has been a nightmare, the two parking spaces opposite made life so much easier.

“Fabulous apartment with fantastic views!” This was our second visit to Driftwood apartment and it did not dissapoint.The apartment is furnished and equiped to a high standard,the views are excellent and the large parking area an added bonus.Ideally located for the beach(straight across the road!).We will definately be going again.

“Gorgeous as always and relaxing despite the extreme weather!” As always it was a home form home, literally EVERYTHING you could wish for is provided. The view from the living room is exceptional and it was awesome to watch the weather change so dramatically, in the space of 48 hours it went from calm sea and sunshine to horizontal rain and back to calm sea and sunshine!! The location is superb, about 30 seconds walk to the beach! and less than 5 minutes to Mulgrave Woods.

“Fantastic place ! Would definitely return” What a little gem of a place, having been to Sandsend before I wanted to find a great rental place to go with friends, Driftwood Apartment is fantastic. The location is amazing, so close to the sea, great to have allocated parking. The apartment is really well equipped, high quality fixtures and fittings and we really appreciated the wine and biscuits!!! Its so well placed to walk into Whitby. My friends and I loved it and would definitely like to return very soon.

“Absolutely fabulous apartment, excellent facilities and spot on position” The apartment is spacious and luxurious, with absolutely everything you could possibly want. The views from almost every window are spectacular and the level of comfort and attention to detail is unsurpassed.
