Home description
SEAL VIEW - WHITBY - is a little gem. Superbly located in Hunton Court , Whitehall Landing, the old shipyard in the Upper Harbour , regularly frequented by Captain Cook and the famous tall ship Endeavour.
The spacious, ground floor, extremely comfortable apartment is furnished to a high standard, and has waterside views from all living rooms. It has the very rare advantage of a private parking space right outside the main door, and is all inclusive. Nothing extra to pay.
In a tranquil setting, with riverside walkway its a great place to relax and watch the waterside wildlife such as swans, seals and cormorants that perch on the pontoons and dive for fish alongside harbourside activities.
Whitby station is five minutes away and steam train journeys are in operation, very popular. The hustle and bustle of Whitby town, its quaint cobbled streets which happily revert people back in time, and the swing bridge that opens to seafaring traffic which people love to watch., are just part of what makes this beautiful fishing town so special.
Whitby is steeped in history and inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula. The town is sought and used regularly by film makers for blockbuster movies. Gwyneth Paltroe, Bob Hoskins have filmed here alongside the ever popular Heartbeat series.
There is so much to do - fishing trips, boat trips, ,leisure centre, contemporary and nostalgic shops, alongside award winning restaurants , the best fish and chips and cosy pubs (some with musical entertainments )make this a holiday that caters for all. Nan and Gramp can chill on the supplied garden chairs while the rest can hit the beach and shops all within 5/10 mins walking distance.
