Home description

Runswick Bay is a delightful old fishing village about 9 miles north of Whitby, made famous by artists over the years for its stunning beauty and panoramic sea views. The village is nestled into the side of the hill and is well served by a pub and a seaside cafe. SeaView Cottage is at the end of the vehicle access. It is a spacious 200 year old house which has been added to and modernised over the years and is run as a home from home with all mod cons by the owners. There are sea views from every room and the beach is only 50 yards away down some steps or a little further along a more gentle slope. Runswick Bay is on the Cleveland Way. Its situation away from traffic make it ideal for youngsters with plenty of rock pools, fossils and crabs to catch off the end of the jetty.
