The cottage has it's own unique style with panoramic views of the river and surrounding countryside.
Riverside Cottage was built in 2004. This cottage offers traditional elegance in a select private location.
For the comfort of all our guests and to maintain the highest of standards, we are strictly non-smoking and we do not allow pets - sorry.
We do have another cottage in the very heart of the 'Old Town' of Whitby right by the harbourside. This cottage is called Awd Tuts Cottage and it is a Grade Two Listed Ex-fishermans cottage built in 1640. Days can be spent exploring in and around Whitby or along the Esk Valley - Pictureque Ruswarp is 0.5 kilometres away and has a miniture railway, rowing boats on the river and even crazy golf.
There is a very good selection of multi-cultural places to eat in Whitby town itself which include all budget catagories.
Scarborough, Runswick Bay, Staiths, Robin Hoods Bay and Flamingoland are all just a short car ride away.

Whitby is located on the North-East Coast and is famous for Captain James Cook, Dracula and smuggling in those bygone years.
Today you can experience a taste of the history along with the outstanding beauty of this coastline and drive inland to the North York Moors National Park.
This area is famous for its unspoilt countryside, idylic villages, friendly folk and charming market towns.
Whitby 'Old Town' is steeped in history with its quaint cobbled streets, kipper smoking houses, tea rooms and much more.
Most of the Old Town dates back some centuries as you'll see when you explore the little snickets and allyways and hidden passageways.

We stayed for a weekend in March and also September.
The cottage was full of the character of Whitby. The cottage was clean & comfortable with all the amenities we required.
