About the home

This charming cottage is a typical example of holiday cottages in Yorkshire. It offers the visitor traditional charm and modern comfort. The property has recently been refurbished to an extremely high standard and is the perfect romantic getaway for couples.

The living area and kitchen is open plan and has a wood burning stove as well as oil fired central heating. There is an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, washing machine and dishwasher. As well as Freesat TV, DVD player and radio/CD player there is also Wi-Fi access.

Outside on the garden and patio there is a lovely seating area to enjoy. The property also boasts private parking for one vehicle.

The Northern England / Yorkshire/Yorkshire Dales region

The North York Moors National Park lies just inland from the North Yorkshire coastal resorts of Whitby and Scarborough and has 1,400 miles of trails, footpaths and bridleways, surrounded by heather clad rolling moor land dotted with pretty rural villages and historic country towns.Carving a pathway deep through the North York Moors is the famous North Yorkshire Moors steam railway, which carries passengers from Pickering in the south, north to Grosmont and then along the lovely Esk Valley to Whitby on the coast. This area handy for those who want to experience the many aspects that Yorkshire has to offer with easy access to both the Yorkshire Coast and Yorkshire Dales.

The Whitby / Glaisdale area

A fantastic way to see the North York Moors is travel through on a steam train which will seem appropriate as you pass through the charming and timeless market towns of Pickering and Goathland, which are also known as 'Heartbeat Country'.
This is a location which offers plenty of great days out and the local hospitality in tea rooms and cafes should not be ignored.
There are spectacular walking opportunities to enjoy as well as various outdoor pursuits including cycling, fishing, golf, off road experiences and horse riding. Visits to the neighbouring seaside villages of Whitby, Sandsend, Staithes, Runswick Bay and Robin Hoods Bay are not to be missed.
