Welcome to a whole lot more going on! Yorkshire is second to none.
We have beautiful coastline, fantastic countryside, and stunning locations to visit, delicious food and fabulous culture. All that plus warm and welcoming people.
Step back in time and experience their beautiful architecture, fascinating attractions and warm hospitality in Whitby.
High on a cliff above the Yorkshire seaside town of Whitby are the gaunt, imposing remains of Whitby Abbey. Whitby is dominated by the cliff-top ruins of the beautiful 13th century Whitby Abbey. This traditional maritime town, with its old cobbled streets, picturesque houses and sandy blue flag beach is a great place for a holiday or short break.
Whitby is set among fine stretches of coast with spectacular cliffs, beaches and bays. A selection of diverse attractions includes the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, Victorian Jet Works, the Dracula Experience, Pannett Park and Whitby Museum, with cabinets of curiosities from geology to jet carving, bird life to bygones and costumes to clocks.
Should you be artistic, adventurous or passionate about water sports and wildlife and nature? We have something for all.
The area also has a host of very good restaurants and lovely pubs, where you can enjoy the local ale, and of course, the famous fish and chips which can’t be beaten.

"Absolutely brilliant - perfect home from home"
Goathland cottage is lovely. Very well equipped with everything you need. Light and spacey yet still having that wonderful cottage feel. Very very clean and fresh. Beautiful views and scenery. Great to be able to have car parking facilities. We had to contact the owner as we couldn't find the barbeque, and she was so helpful.
Our 3 year old loved playing football on the football pitch and it was so reassuring to know he was safe.
One of best places we have ever stayed.

"home from home."
Very comfortable accommodation. We had booked 2 cottages for a large family including children which enjoyed the open space to play without having to worry about roads or traffic. It was an ideal location for touring around North Yorkshire and only 5minutes from beautiful Whitby. The cottages had everything you could ask for and where well laid out and really clean. Hope to be back in the future.

"wonderfully clean and very comfortable"
The cottage was so comfortable. Every thing we needed was there. The view was lovely. The fact that it had its own private garden was an added bonus.I asked for an early check in as we had a wedding. It was instantly agreed with the owner. The fixtures and fittings where so homely. We had four young children in our party, as we also booked Danby Cottage next door. The children loved the fact they could play outside freely and safely. I would recommend both cottage's to anyone. It helped make a wonderful family holiday.
