Northern England region

Robin Hoods Bay is a traditional 17th century fishing village clinging on to the cliffs on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. The village is a network of charming allies with pretty cottages, pubs and shops perfect for wandering amongst when the tide is in.

The beach Is incredibly varied and of great geological interest. Fossil finding can occupy hours of your time. But it also supports more normal seaside beach needs . it is has great rock pools for crabbing, streams for damining and huge patches of sand, good for sandcastle competitions and beach cricket.. The bay between Robin Hoods Bay and Ravenscar s fairly large and lovely to walk along.

We are near the towns of Whitby famous for Dracula and Captain Cook and Scarborough with its twin bays, surfing culture and Victorian seaside attractions. Inland stretches the beautiful North York Moors, a perfect destination for walkers or visitors to the picturesque villages and farms.

Whitby

The Village is one of the gems of the North Yorkshire National Park but there are other fantastic coastal villages and beautiful picturesque moorland and dale villages all within easy reach. There are castles , stately homes, Surfing centres, Victorian seaside resorts etc. in fact there here is so much to discover in this part of England that in my 45 years of visiting I am still discovering new things to do each time
