Into The Woods Treehouse
About the home
Come and stay in a cosy and exciting little house in the trees. Fantastic for adventurous families, but equally wonderful as a romantic break for couples, or a quirky treat for groups of friends.
Enjoy the privacy and peace of living right in the heart of nature.
The treehouse has been newly built to extremely high standards, is fully insulated and is lovely and cosy and warm and comfortable.
Available all year round.
The Treehouse is divided into 2 separate pods - the Living Pod and the Sleeping Pod and joined by smart decking. The Sleeping pod comprises 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The Master bedroom can be made up as either a King size bed, or 2 singles. The bunk room has 2 bunks and a ladder up to a secret sleeping area with double mattress for 2 adventurous extras ! Find the spyholes ! There is a full bathroom with a lovely shower with views into the trees, loo and washbasin. The sleeping pod is heated.
It is a Treehouse - so rooms are small and exciting !
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and dining. However in order to be as green and natural as we can, there is no dishwasher, microwave or washing machine. Eco friendly products are provided in the kitchen and the bathroom, as the waste water runs away through a reedbed back in the woods. The loo feeds into a clever composting system outside. For kitchen food waste, there is a special composting area .
We have purposefully not installed TV's, and hope that this will enhance your stay, and encourage conversation and good old fashioned play ! However we have included free Wifi, so you can plan your days and keep in touch with the real world if necessary ! Books, puzzles and games are all provided.
Babysitting is also available.
Further details outdoors:
Park in our private woodland car park - and follow the secret path down to the treehouse. A cart will be provided to take your luggage. The Treehouse is situated in a wooded area on the edge of its own paddock, with the front decking area poking out into the paddock. The paddock is surrounded by farmland and lovely views.
You will find yourselves totally at one with nature. There is a wealth of wildlife around you, with red squirrels, rabbits, owls, woodpeckers and many other species of birds; as well as distant mooing, baaing and neighing from surrounding farmland !
We have plenty of friendly chickens and ducks, who will be more than happy to lay you some fresh eggs, which will be available in our honesty shop, and sometimes even homemade cakes , etc !
There are swings and rope ladders and outdoor games to play. There is also a BBQ area, and outdoor brazier.
Bikes are also available for hire.
Childrens mini tractor rides, and shooting lessons / practice are also available on site; and we also offer exciting RIB (speedboat) rides on the Solent, from nearby Cowes.
It really is a special place. Yet also - not far from civilisation !
We have a 9m RIB speedboat for charter. Fantastic fun for all ages - it can be hired with a fully qualified driver, by the hour, half day or full day for exhilarating rides on the Solent, starting from Cowes. See photos !

BookThe Isle of Wight region
The Isle of Wight is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing break, at any time of the year. It is a stunning Island with unspoilt scenery and a wealth of beautiful beaches, and fascinating attractions. For the energetic, there are plenty of activities to enjoy, including cycling, swimming, walking, horseriding, windsurfing, sailing and paragliding. And for those who wish to escape the modern world, we're sure you'll leave the Island having found exactly what you were looking for.
The minute you step on the ferry you feel like you're on holiday. For a stress free, fun family holiday the Island is popular all year round. And for those who like a physical challenge, if it's an adventure holiday you are after then look no further. With over half the Island designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a network of footpaths that stretches over 500 miles it's easy to get close to nature. Alternatively, if you are looking for somewhere to be spoilt, then indulge yourself in the Isle of Wight's fine restaurants, art galleries and historic houses.
The Whippingham area
We are situated on a quiet country road, midway between the two ferry ports. Yet within easy reach of Newport and Ryde. The road is part of the coastal path, and also the Round the Island cycle route. Woodside beach is just a mile away, and you can see the beautiful sea from the carpark, just across the fields ! The Medina River is just a mile or so away, with The Folly waterside pub, a popular watering hole. Queen Victoria's favourite palace - Osbourne House is just five minutes up the road, and the yachting mecca of Cowes just a few miles away. It really is a great location, within easy reach of many of the best parts of the Island.
Festival goers - if you fancy your own private, peaceful space, we are perfectly located just 5 mins from the Isle of Wight Festival site in one direction, and 5 mins from the fabulous Bestival site in the other ! We also have some beautiful Bell tents on offer, if there are more of you to accommodate !

This was our first stay in both the treehouse and the Isle of Wight. The treehouse itself is reached via a winding stone path, enclosed by beautiful growing bamboo. The treehouse is probably best... more |

I was taken to Into the Woods as a surprise so when we arrived at a little car park where I could see no buildings I was mystified - how delightful to then trundle through the trees along the path... more |
