"Pay the cleaner an extra 3 hours."

10/10 for the view, that's it . Paid a lot of money for a very grubby house. Dirty, stained and threadbare carpets, mouldy rubbish bin. Everything needs a really good clean, cobwebs, spiders and … More

I do apologise that you found this property grubby. i sincerely hope it did not distract from the enjoyment of your holiday. One of the cleaners concerned has been replaced by the Manager. The Management team and cleaners are always willing to return to rectify any problem reported by a Holidaymaker during their stay. Unfortunately nothing could be done on this occassion, as no contact was made, despite the owners welcome on arrival, and presence next door, during the week concerned. This property is thoroughly cleaned and inspected by staff after each Holiday Let. Villa de la mer has been let satisfactorily for 15 years with very few complaints. The carpets are not threadbare, however there were coffee stains from the previous week on the bottom and top stair landing which could not be removed satisfactorily in time on the Sat changeover. The Decor and furniture in all rooms are as pictured on the web advertisements, with the walls, wood panels and furniture painted in marine blue and white, in the 'Distressed' Style, of the 'New England' fashion, for a marine environment. One would expect natural breakages in this popular beach bungalow, which unfortunately leave china and cutlery which cannot be replaced easily with the same pattern and colour. Dead insects were commonly found and removed from inside this property this Summer, owing to the very hot weather beside the sea. The Patio furniture and tables are constantly replaced owing to exposure to the harsh marine environment. One Patio table replaced only last year. The Sun Umbrella was not new or part of the Property Inventory, as they get blown away. However, one was supplied on loan by the owner, as an act of kindness to shield the elderly relative, who was very hot one morning, on the sun patio. I do hope this answers more fully your concerns and apologise again for any discomfort you have experienced. Sincerely Owner.
