The West Country / Dorset region

The Isle of Portland is located on the south coast of Dorset and forms part of the World Heritage coastline known as the 'Jurassic coast'.
Portand is now becoming famous for leisure activities including fishing, diving, bird watching, rock climbing, walking and of course sailing and boating.

Weymouth / Isle of Portland area

Portland offers some great areas to explore, with its disused quarries and rugged coastline. From the property you can walk to the light house at Portland Bill without crossing a single road. Might even find some fossils along the way.
Nearby the town of Weymouth caters for young and old alike with its sandy beaches, arcades, shops, restaurants and night life. However even on Portland you have a choice of restaurants, pubs and take aways all within a short walk.

How to get there

By car or train. There is a regular main line rail service from London to Weymouth. The Isle of Portand is then only a short bus or taxi ride from the station.
