Summer Lodge is a spacious newly built very high specification property located in the pretty Dorset village of Osmington less than a mile from the coast. It is truly luxurious with things most people only dream of having in their homes the main one being an indoor heated swimming pool (perfect whatever the time of year) with patio doors opening onto a large patio and decked are which is ideal for using in combination with the swimming pool when the sun is shining. You also have the benefit of a gym room housing a cross trainer and a running machine. If exercise is not your thing then why not make use of the games room with its full size pool table, arcade style games machine and juke box or just chill out in the adjacent lounge with its own cinema style flat screen TV. The huge kitchen / diner has solid granite work surfaces and attractive stone floors with mosaic detailing and the formal lounge has a feature gas stove and another large flat screen TV. Internally the property is a joy with its well thought out d?cor, furniture and attention to detail throughout. Three of the bedrooms are en-suite and the downstairs bedroom has an adjacent toilet plus use of the separate shower room near the swimming pool making this ideal for anyone who has difficulty climbing stairs. Venturing out from the cottage you will find the location perfect for walkers - pick from a gentle circular 2 mile walk which takes in the South West Coast path to a more demanding 10 mile walk encompassing the famous white chalk horse etched on a hillside. The village of Osmington has a pub just a few minutes walk away, The Sunray, which has a comfortable restaurant serving an extensive menu, bar serving real ales and a large garden with tables and children's play equipment. Craig's Dairy just a few minutes down the road sells the milk from cow to fridge within a few hours, along with ice creams and local producer provisions such as ham and chutneys. A Spar shop in Weymouth is just a few minutes car journey away. The nearest beach is a five minute drive away at Ringstead Bay, or five minutes further you may access the main long sandy resort beach at Weymouth, the nearest town, which has a good variety of restaurants, high streets shops and attractions. Summer Lodge is a real gem which we are proud to have on the books and is sure to be a big hit with all who are lucky enough to stay there.

Patio doors opening onto a large patio and decked area with furniture. Shower room. Second cloakroom with hand basin and toilet. Indoor gym area. 1st Floor, via a staircase in the gym area; games room and 2nd lounge area with large flat screen TV. 1st floor via main staircase in the formal dining hall: Master bedroom (Bedroom 2), a spacious room with kingsize double bed, walk in wardrobe, ensuite with shower system incorporating two shower heads, body jets and radio, hand basin and toilet. Bedroom 3, twin single beds, ensuite shower with hand basin and toilet. Bedroom 4, kingsize double bed with ensuite shower, hand basin and toilet. Bedroom 5, twin single beds. Family bathroom, bath with rinse attachment, hand basin and toilet.

The swimming pool and gym are to be used at your own risk as these areas are not supervised.

"Rude, unwelcoming owners ruin overpriced 3 star house - AVOID"

Thank you for your review and valuable feedback of the property which is much appreciated. I would like to begin by apologising on behalf of Dream Cottages for your holiday accommodation not meeting your expectations. We pride ourselves on our good reputation, attention to detail and customer satisfaction.
We take all comments onboard, both good and bad, which can help to improve the property and keep the owners informed should things not be up to scratch.
Whilst we endeavour to provide accommodation of the highest standards we do accept that from time to time, there may be issues that need resolving. Our offices are open 7 days a week including Public Holidays and we always aim to attend to any issue as soon as we are made aware.
Our aim is for all our guests to holiday in a property that meets, if not exceeds their expectations. Through the provision of all the information on our website, including the properties virtual tour, location and description, along with our dedicated booking team who have been to the properties and our brochure, we normally achieve our aim.
Summer Lodge was inspected and awarded its five stars in February of this year. All Dream Cottages properties are Visit Britain assessed. Dream Cottages has no influence whatsoever over the inspection, indeed we use this scheme in preference to one of our own so that the grades awarded are impartial and we cannot be seen as being biased in any way. If guests would like to discuss any ratings with them, they can forward their concerns to qualityintourism@uk.g4s.com where they will be happy to look into any issues regarding the rating of a property.
I apologise if you felt the owner's attitude towards you was inappropriate, as I also did during our telephone conversation. The owners of the property are saddened to hear that you feel this way. They do except that they were taken aback to see that you were using the properties electricity to power your recreational vehicle during your stay, when they came manage your departure.

We had a wonderful holiday, truly memorable. It was my 60th birthday and we wanted to take all the family away to mark the occasion. You could not ask for a better family house, as the owners have thought of everything. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves just a shame the time went so quickly. We hope one day to return. Lots of happy memories.
I am disappointed that you felt that we at the office did not reply to emails or return your calls, especially after our continued contact with you in order to return your security deposit, as you did not leave your details with the owner as requested.
We did receive your feedback stating that you and your family had a wonderful holiday at Summer Lodge including your views of the owner's attitude. "Hardly a village"

I am sorry if you felt we have mis-advertised the location of this property. The property description simply mentions a 'village location' as the property is indeed set within the village of Osmington. The property is not immediately next to the A road that runs through the village but is set back down a lane. On all of our property descriptions we try to be as factual as possible and we also place a Google map marker on the location to enable guests to see exactly where the property is located. We have very experienced bookings' staff who are always happy to answer any additional queries or help guests make a property selection prior to booking in relation to property facilities or location.
