"HOPE TO STAY AGAIN!!"
We were looking for a reasonably priced self catering holiday home for use over the Christmas week. After a good search I found Tidmoor Barn.
On arrival Sarah was waiting for us and was able to give us lots of information about the area and also gave us a tour of the house.
The bedrooms are spacious and the ground floor one is large enough to get a wheelchair round with ease. The upstairs double room is large and would easily accommodate a travel cot (folded in its bag in the room).
The wet room on the ground floor is lovely as is the upstairs bathroom. A shower head tap on the bath would make hair washing easier.
Both the ground floor and upstairs lounges were comfortable.
The kitchen is ok, I was glad we were spending Christmas day with family in weymouth as there would be little room to cook anything much more than a simple meal. Could do with a few more glasses too.
Parking was reasonably easy and felt very secure behind the electric gates.
The view was lovely, across fields to the sea which was VERY lively that week. .
As there are facilities for children (travel cots and a high chair) I would have liked to have seen gates at the top and bottom of the stairs, perhaps wooden ones which would match the staircase. Don't forget your towels as these are available at an extra cost
It was a lovely place to stay, well positioned, comfortable and worthy of a second visit.
