About the home

Kingfisher Haven (formerly known as 144 Kingfisher Lakes) has it's own enclosed deck area, accessed from the lounge/diner via patio doors, for those warm summer days and nights. On the deck there is a glass topped table, parasol and six chairs, new in 2012. There is a brand new colour TV/DVD player in each of the 3 bedrooms as well as in the comfortable lounge, which also has a DVD player. There is an en-suite shower room to the main bedroom, which has a kingsize bed, in addition to the family bathroom. The third bedroom (which is not yet pictured) is similar, but a little smaller, to the second bedroom, and twin-bedded.
The lodge has vaulted ceilings throughout, with Velux windows to the lounge and kitchen, and full length windows/patio doors to the lounge/dining area, making it very light and spacious. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, including an American style fridge freezer with water dispenser and ice maker/dispenser, washer/dryer and dishwasher.
Free internet connection is available in the lodge.

On site there is a dry ski slope for all ages and abilities, and 'swissbobs' for the under 8's.

There is also an indoor heated swimming pool with flume and wave machine, 3 children's play areas, sports arena, amusements, pool tables, roller rink, mini ten-pin bowling, crazy golf, sauna and solarium also on site, plus 3 fishing lakes and a fully stocked fishing shop for hire of rods, nets and everything if you want to fish the lakes, and a fitness suite with treadmills, rowing machines and weights for the more energetic! Mountain bikes can also be hired.

Free entertainment for all the family is available every night at The Venue on site, together with Hardy's Restaurant and a bar.

A mini supermarket and fish and chip shop are also to be found on site, and pizzas can be ordered from Huskys at the Ski Slope. The larger supermarkets will deliver to the lodge if required.

Children are well catered for with an indoor soft play area, multi sports court and outdoor adventure play areas.

Christmas is a special time here at Warmwell, with lots of entertainment, Christmas lunch at Hardy's Restaurant on site, and Santa on his sleigh travelling around the park to deliver presents to the children.

Kingfisher Haven boasts a large enclosed secure deck area with table, parasol and seating for 6, accessed via patio doors from the lounge/dining room. There are 2 parking spaces adjacent to the lodge. The view from the lodge is beautiful, and the fishing lakes can be seen from the deck area.
There is an indoor swimming pool on site, together with children's playgrounds containing slides, climbing frames, swings etc.

A deposit of £100 is required to secure a booking.

Balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to holiday start date.

Refundable breakages deposit of £150 required with final payment, to be refunded approximately 7 days after departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).

The West Country / Dorset region

This area of Dorset is famous of course for the Tolpuddle Martyrs - why not visit the Tolpuddle Museum where you can learn the story surrounding the Martyrs; it is also well known as being 'Hardy Country', and a visit to Hardy's monument is also worth making. Or why not follow the coastal path from the Smugglers Inn at Osmington, along towards Ringstead, then back to the Smugglers for a well-earned drink!

There are some very good eating places in the local area, The Smugglers Inn does good food and has fantastic views, The Countryman Inn where you can enjoy a carvery or one of many other dishes which are always available, the Red Lion which has a good selection of wonderful dishes for all tastes, the Frampton Arms at Moreton, and for that inevitable cream tea(!) why not try Moreton Tea Rooms which is very close to Warmwell. You can visit Moreton Gardens and plant shop to walk off the damage!

The beautiful market town of Dorchester (6 miles) for it's shops and eating places, museums and cinema, the historic walled market town of Wareham (12 miles) with it's Thursday farmer's market, Weymouth with its beautiful beach and promenade (9 miles) and the vibrant market town of Bridport (22 miles) are all well worth a visit.

The Weymouth / Warmwell area

There is an abundance of places of interest in this area of Dorset, such as Monkey World, Sea Life Park in Weymouth, the Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens, many places along the Jurassic Coast such as Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, and Lulworth Castle. Kingston Maurward Gardens and Animal Park, Bennett's Water Gardens and The Blue Pool are also worth a visit. There is so much more - too much to mention! There is something for everyone in this area of Dorset.

“Outstanding!” We arrived at Warmwell Holiday Park (3 adults, 3 children aged 5,4 and 3) and collected keys from reception who were very friendly and helpful, we then found 144 Kingfisher Lakes and couldn't believe how lucky we were! What a beautiful home and had everything we needed! We loved the big American fridge and it was extremely handy to have the 2 bathrooms one having a lovely big bath! Everything was a real treat, even the showers! I could go on and thats just the accommodation! The locaion is perfect! So peaceful and yes we did see the deers too! There's so much to do on site with the little parks scattered around and the indoor pool and soft play for those rainy days. We also visited Monkey World which is a must and only a short drive away! We didn't even have enough time to use the kids club but managed to catch a bit of the kids disco one evening which the children loved! A big thank you to Pam who answered all my questions prior to our stay and everything went extremely smoothly! We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning!

“Wonderful family break in this stunning lodge” We could easily have spent the weekend in the lodge and never have left! The lodge had every facility we needed and much, much more. It was lovely and snug in February and the tv's and wifi kept the kids happy. Mum loved the huge kitchen with all the facilities. We had a fabulous time and the weather in February was wonderful so we enjoyed exploring the park and feeding the wildlife. My teenager was thrilled to learn to ski and roller blade and my toddler loved the ski bobs and kids club. The food was good quality in the main area and the whole park was immaculate and well maintained. So good that we booked a return visit straight away!

“A perfect lodge in a perfect setting!” Myself and my husband stayed at 144 Kingfisher Lakes during Half Term week with our 2 sons and their 2 friends. The lodge was perfect for the 6 of us - spacious with a cosy feel about it and very comfortable with T.V.s in each room. The ensuite to the main bedroom is a great benefit too. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need - dishwasher, washer/dryer and large fridge-freezer with water and ice machine (a big hit with all of us!). The lodge is in a great location, a very peaceful setting but only a 5 minute walk to the main entertainment complex and at the end of the road (about a 2-3 minute walk) is the Snowsport Centre. Our boys made great use of this facility learning to ski or snowboard and a fun session on the ringos! Warmwell itself is a lovely setting amongst trees and lakes and very clean - we were even lucky enough to see the deer one evening on our walk down to the complex! Pam was so nice to deal with and very accommodating. She will answer any queries you have and is very helpful. The booking process was a pleasure from start to finish! I highly recommend this lodge and we will definitely return when we can. Thank you Pam!

“luxurious park lodge!” we stayed for 1 week at 144 kingfisher lakes after the warmwell park was recommended by a colleague. haveing seen some negative reviews about the Hoseasons and Parkdene lodges we found some privately owned lodges on the holiday lettings website. firstly, in our opinion, Warmwell is far better for young children than some of the other holiday parks in weymouth. The childrens activities are far more extensive than the others rather than just a necessary (and small) addition to the bar and amusment arcade (see Haven parks). The warmwell resort is generously laid out amongst the trees with plenty of space between the lodges unlike some of the caravan parks. There are a number of wooden adventure playgrounds around the park (not just by the bar). There is also a full scale large soft indoor play area that is the size of a stand alone softpaly area that you might find in your local town. this has a large slide and even a zip wire! there is also the roller disco and swimming pool with water slide. Back to 144 king fisher lakes, This lodge sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms (no sofa bed needed). It has washing machine, drier, dishwasher, fridge freezer (with crushed ice maker), wide screen flatpanel tv in lounge and tv in each bedroom. Ensuite to master bedroom and family bathroom with full size bath. It really is at the top end. The owners provided us with a high chair and travel cot for our youngest at no extra cost. The lodge is ideal for small children because the veranda is enclosed on all sides since the entry door and steps are at the rear. the children can use the veranda without getting into any trouble! The lodge is located in a queit part of the park, with its own parking for 2 vehicles, the evenings were peaceful and quiet. Pam, the owner, was helpful at all stages of our booking and visit. we will most definately stay again.

“Superb holiday, excellent accomodation and wonderful facilities.” After deciding to book a "private" rental this year for our annual holiday and not through a tour operator we were a little worried but from the initial enquiry right through to coming home Pam was excellent. We were holidaying with myself, husband, 15 yr old son, 9 yr old son and 11 yr old niece. Communication was fantastic and every word on the description of the complex and accommodation was perfect. Fantastic facilities to occupy all age ranges and the kids loved the variety. Very friendly helpful staff and the site was kept immaculately clean. Even though we went in height of season nothing was overly packed so always somewhere to sit in the evenings where the entertainment was held or at the bar or restaurant. We wouldnt normally eat alot in onsite restaurants but the food was very good we ate there at least 3 times in our week stay. The lodge was exceptional. More than what we expected and definitely a home from home environment. I would highly recommend this lodge for all age ranges and groups. A lovely, relaxing but active break if wanted. Will definitely book privately in future. Thank you Pam for a wonderful holiday

“144 Kingfisher Lodge - Wonderful” We visited this lodge in September this year, Lodge was great, everything you would need and home from home, lovely decking area , with furniture to sit out, television in every room , comfy beds, all rooms large and furnished to a high standard. Lodge is set at Warmwell, which is just so peaceful and setting with deers walking around and birds tweeting, with Lakes on your doorstep. They have a clubhouse on site, which is great for a drinks with a resturant which was very good, Weymouth and Lulworth Cove not far away, just wonderful, but have always loved Dorset. I would highly recommend this property and will be visiting again, Pam whom owns this property is very helpful and even checked to insure we were happy.

“Beautiful lodge, great site, something for everyone” Just spent a week at 144 Kingfisher Lakes(4/8-11/8) and the whole family had a great time. This was our third time and by far the best, certainly better value and better lodge than doing through Park Dean. The lodge is fantastic the pictures do not give it justice, it is better than expected and is fitted out lovely with everything you need. The kids, aged between 10-14 had lots to do and did not moan at all. The clubhouse and on site facilities are excellent especially the fishing and skiing. Pam the owner was superb through out the whole booking and even recommended having the shopping delivered by Tesco's, absolute genius, saved a lot of time. Would recommend both the Smugglers Inn and Sunray for food, Smugglers has fantastic views and walks. The guys at the skiing centre recommended a great sandy beach about 35 minute drive called Studland, stunning place and lots to do, kayak hire and clean beach. Will be definitely be looking to going back in 2013 with the family and friends in Pam's other lodge. Thanks to Pam for letting us such a lovely lodge and making the whole process so pleasant.
