Portland gives access to a stunning World Heritage Coastline and the beautiful rural County of Dorset. The County has been used for countless TV and film locations due to its natural charm and character. There are many hidden villages, delightful Pubs and stunning country walks.
Although connected to the mainland by Chesil Beach,Portland is referred to as an island and has all the feel of being a place apart complete with a regular Ferry to Weymouth Harbour. The Island has wonderful clifftop walks with stunning views from every angle and the best cream tea in Dorset at Portland Bill.
Weymouth is only 10 mins by car and has one of the safest sandy beaches in the country with traditional Punch & Judy, donkey rides and all that you would expect on a family orientated beach. Multi screen cinema complex, bowling alley, golf course, swimming pool and childrens activity centre are all on offer in the town.
