About the home

Presented to a high standard, this accommodation offers a wonderful opportunity to explore the wide variety of activities available close by, including wind and kite surfing in Portland Harbour, diving, sailing, fishing, bird watching, walking and cycling. At Driftwood you can also have a quiet relaxing break and be 'busy doing nothing'.

The accommodation is an end of terrace house with 2 bedrooms and a family bathroom with shower over the bath. On the ground floor there is a lounge/diner, kitchen and cloakroom.
Outside there is parking for 1 car on the front drive and space for another in front of the garage behind the property.

The enclosed secure garden has a deck with BBQ and garden furniture. There is also a garage for car or boat storage and a line for overnight wet suit storage.

The West Country / Dorset region

Dorset has long been a favourite with holidaymakers from around the world and boasts some of the most dramatic coastline in the whole of England. As well as this there is a wealth of things to do you can explore the world heritage site of the Jurassic Coast and perhaps find a fossil or partake in some water based activities such as sailing or jet skiing.

If all this sounds a bit too much for you Dorset has plenty of untouched beaches to sun bathe on and miles of beautiful countryside to explore with many a pub to quench the thirsty explorer.

The Weymouth / Wyke Regis area

Wyke Regis has excellent views of Chesil Beach to the west, the famous Isle of Portland to the south and Portland Harbour to the east. The views of the harbour mean that the village provides an excellent viewpoint for spectators of events at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, such as the J24 World Sailing Championships, and later the sailing events of the 2012 Olympic Games. The South West Coast Path also passes through this scenic village.

“Comfort & quiet away from the town centre” Excellent property. Considerate hosts who communicate well and provided little extras which made our stay all the more comfortable. “Driftwood, a house to make your holiday special.” We have stayed at Driftwood 8 times over the last 3 years, and would thoroughly recommend it. Always greeted with a lovely warm welcome . Driftwood is a very comfortable house, and has everything you need for a great holiday, the extra touches mean a lot. It is situated within easy reach of all the great local sights and amenities .
