About the home

Angels cottage is a four bed detached modern home situated in a small development. Across the road from Our Lady's Island Lake which is the largest lagoon in Ireland and an area designated as one of outstanding natural beauty. The lake is also an internationally recognised bird sanctuary. It is possible to walk all the way around the island and enjoy the scenic beauty of the lake, birds and to see the sand dunes of the local beach in the distance. The Island is also a famous pilgramage site in August (see www.ourladysisland.ie for details of the pilgramage and more photo's of the area).

The house is very close to miles of white sandy beaches - recongised as some of the the best in Ireland. The beaches are suitable for swimming and provide miles of enjoyable walks and fishing and horseriding. These beaches include Carne, Bing, Ballytrent, St. Margarets beach and Curracloe. The house is also a short drive to many other well known scenic areas such as Kimore Quay, Duncannon, Arthurs Town, Hook Head lighthouse and John F Kennedy Park. There are many quiet country roads suitable for the cyclist. Wexford is also the location of the world renowned Opera Festival in October each year.

The house is near to Wexford town which is a busy and attractive market town with many fine shops, fabulous restuarants and pubs. It has excellent fresh fish shops for the seafood lover at great prices.

Near to the popular Rosslare Strand with an excellent Golf course situated beside the sea, Tennis courts, Sea sports, fishing, walking, and the world famous Kelly's Hotel (thehttp://www.ireland-guide.com/establishment/kellys_resort_hotel_and_spa.4118.html) and the well known Lobster Pot pub and sea food restaurant (www.irishtourist.com/details/lobster_pot_restaurant.shtml)

Quiet and suitable for families. House has TV, Video, washing machine, etc. Plenty of space and well decorated.

The house has a well equipped kitchen with plenty of pots and pans and utensils. There is a sunroom off the kitchen over looking fields of horses. There is a separate Tv Room where children can enjoy the TV and DVD. The house is spacious and decorated as a holiday home with easy chairs and a tiled kitchen and sunroom.

Enclosed back garden suitable for kids. Open access to front green - great for little footballers. Quiet but other children around to have fun with.

The house has a private back and front garden with garden table and seats. Kids and adult bike available in the shed. Views of the Lake. Quiet location - hear the birds sing in the morning and the horses trotting in the field next door. Large green in front of garden which kids love to play on.

The South East Ireland / County Wexford region

The home is located in Ireland's sunny south east which has the highest sunshine record in the whole of Ireland. The Beaches stretch for miles and are suitable for swimming. The nearby Carne beach is ideal for kids with shallow waters on one side of the harbour and loads of fun rocks to climb on the other side. At full tide the kids love to jump into the sea from the Pier.

The area is designated as one of outstanding natural beauty and is of great interest to bird watchers. There is lots to do. Wexford is nearby and a brand new cinema and leisure complex is 5km away. The house is located very near Rosslare Harbour so once you're off the boat you are only minutes away from your holiday. There are lots of excellent restaurants and pubs nearby with a typical Irish Welcome.

The Wexford / Our Lady's Island area

Less than a mile away is the world renowned lobster pot pub and fish restaurant. Nearby are a number of other fine pubs and restaurants such as The Mill - a great family restaurant. Wexford Town is a 10 minute drive away with plenty to interest the shopper, art enthusiast and opera lover. Rosslare strand is a short 5 minute drive with its beach, restaurants, shops and golf course and Kellys Resort Hotel and Spa - a must to visit!
