This castellated building has been carefully and lovingly restored by John & Breda Stafford taking great care in renovating and decorating to the highest standards but in keeping with the old castle tradition (every modern comfort, central heating, fully fitted kitchen and washing facilities included).

The South East Ireland / County Wexford region

From early Celtic and Nordic beginnings Wexford has become a thriving cosmopolitan hub, excellent for shopping and dining out, yet steeped in heritage and history, you can re-live nine thousand years of history at the Irish National Heritage Park or come to Wexford in October to experience the World-famous Wexford Festival Opera.


Wexford area

Horses are kept close-by, by the owners John & Breda Stafford so scenic rides along the beach or forest walks on Wexfords forth mountain are available.

John Stafford a well know Master of Killmick Harriers Hunt is on hand to arrange a day hunting with any of the four packs in County Wexford. Golf enthusiasts’ would be at home with many golf courses close by.

Why not try a day sailing or maybe a fishing trip out around the Saltee Islands off the coast of Kilmore Quay just 8 miles away. There are many great pubs & seafood restaurants in the area or if you want a livelier night a short taxi trip will take you to Wexford town where every taste can be catered for.

Wexford Opera Festival - (October) - specialise in the production of rare operas, has become one of the main Irish and Cultural events of the year.

Kilmore Quay Seafood Festival - (July) - The festivities include all kinds of seafood tastings, traditional and folk music and dancing evenings.

Enniscorthy Strawberry Fair (July) - This annual festival takes place in early July and includes food stalls and competitions featuring the strawberry. Concerts, dances and sporting events add to the festive atmosphere.

Wexford Race Course - (many dates throughout the year) - The Wexford racecourse is full of tradition and has derived its name from its Viking heritage, Wexford is renowned for its breeding of horses in Ireland. Wexford Racecourse is without doubt the South East's leading race course.

Wexford Fringe Festival - Wexford Fringe Festival, is based around Wexford Opera Festival and features 18 days and nights of fun, culture, an eclectic range of over 250 fringe events, something to appeal to all ages.
