The South East Ireland region
Known as the "Sunny South East", the counties of Wicklow, Wexford, Waterford, and Tipperary offer everything you could need for a dream holiday in Ireland. Miles of sandy beach and scenic drives taking in mountains and coast are on your doorstep.
The town of Wexford lies on Ireland's beautiful east coast, and comprises narrow winding streets, framed by a quayside lined with historic buildings. The town is home to an opera house and a golf course close by. Just down the coast lies Wexford Bay; with 20 miles of Blue Flag sandy beaches, backed by sand dunes and nature trails, this is a wonderful spot for enjoying a cottage holiday. Why not take a boat trip from Wexford Quays to watch the seals on the sandbanks or spend an evening in one of the many lively pubs and restaurants? Kilmokea House and Gardens are a great day out not to be missed, while the capital city, Dublin, ideal for a day's sightseeing and shopping, is within easy travelling distance.
